Everything you would expect and more from a "Leading Hotels of the World" property in lovely old town Cartagena. The moment you walk in the gates you are immersed in its charm and romance. Service is absolutely top notch from the front desk staff (thank you Glady's & Team), the reservations and concierge team to assist with transport and restaurant reservations etc (thank you Rebecca and Concierge Team). Alma bar service drinks and food are amazing (Thank you Deynar & Luisa & others). Breakfast experience in the small courtyard is so good! Rooms are awesome. Best walk-in shower and bed maybe ever. I cannot recommend this enough to other discerning traveler's and can't wait to return personally. Great location. Nearby Ristorante Don Ignazio has world class homemade Italian pastas and more and is not to be missed. Recommend the Cannelloni for Whole Branzino. Thank you again for a wonderful and very memorable stay.

This hotel is a lovely historic building but it feels tired, mostly because of the dated and slightly beaten up furniture, unstylish staff uniforms, and just not luxurious. We had two rooms that were laughably dark. It was hard to make sure we had all our stuff packing up in broad daylight. The bathroom was open to elements outside so it’s humid. AC which is needed is really loud but it works. Admittedly, we hated Cartagena which is boiling hot and sticky so walking around is unpleasant and there’s little to see and do. We were repeatedly warned to be careful of theft, to take caution wearing my watch etc. We were photographed in the first shop we walked into - a high end tourist shop selling handicrafts for absurd prices in a very poor country. We were miserable and couldn’t manage to occupy ourselves even for 3 nights. We decided to leave early at a large additional expense to us and the hotel would not refund our last night.

One of the easiest reviews to write. This hotel and the staff and service are truly phenomenal. Four Spanish colonial homes combined into one hotel and the results are one of the most beautiful hotels we’ve visited. The staff here are wonderfully friendly and speak English when needed. The pool area is small but beautifully done in a center courtyard type area of the hotel. They have a coffee and drinks on the honor system in an upstairs lounge that is very comfortable and we made use of that a couple times to relax. The breakfasts are excellent both in choices and quality. You can do Colombian styles breakfasts (several to choose from and delicious!) or traditional North American style breakfasts. We can’t say enough good things about this hotel!

One of the best hotel and spa experiences yet. The booking process was very easy and they were very communicative. The entire staff was extremely hospitable and accommodating. Spa package and experience top 3 that I've ever had. Great location to experience the city, very walkable. Would highly recommend.

I visited your spa in December and have been charged twice for the experience. I was told at the time of spotting this that you would refund me. It has been over 1 month and still don’t have the refund. I receive very polite acknowledgements from your reception manager but you can’t seem to resolve this and I continue to be out of pocket for a rather large amount of money. I chose this establishing to avoid such mistakes however you are in able of rectifying this. I have, on many occasions held off writing a review however I am left with no choice but to assume you are playing delay tactics in the hope I will eventually give it, which I won’t. Please REFUND me!
