About the Hotel

Tierra Chiloe is located amid the blue waters of Chile´s Northern Patagonia, on a mythical island, dotted with picturesque fishing villages. The beauty of this destination is as much in the landscape as it is in the island residents with their deep-rooted culture and timeless traditions. In true Tierra style, the lodge´s distinctive architecture is in-step with its breathtaking surroundings and comes complete with its own boat, the “Williche”, for navigating the inland waters. With only 12 guest rooms, the property continues in the footsteps of its sister properties by offering exceptional experiences and personalized service to its guests.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! What a wonderful resort with great food and fantastic activities. And it’s beautiful in so fmany ways - the building, the rooms and the environment. Treat yourself - this place really shows the best of the Chilean coast and sound.

An absolute treat in an offbeat location

This is a stunning hotel on the slightly mystical & very untouristy Chiloe Island. Architecturally beautiful & set in a remote coastal location with views from every room & the spacious public areas. The food, the wine, the excursions are all included & set the tone for an active yet relaxed vacation. 4 days was a good length of time & we loved the hikes on the pacific coast even though the drive there was a little long. Fabulous heated outdoor pool & spa area, paddleboards, boat trips, kayaking & horseriding are all further options too. Highly recommend

Amazing get away with first time ever experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 months ago

Amazing experience in Central Chile. Cozy island and location. Very cultural destination with nature. Our first time in Tierra after being to many other hotels with the same concept. We simply loved! All reservation process and guess info very accurate, great and attentive staff. Victor from bar, Dania and Daniela from the restaurant; Gonzalo the excursion leader, and the guides Alvaro, Emerson and Karen & Rene. Gonzalo was an enthusiast when I mentioned I would love to go horseback riding however would be my first time ever!! They well all in for it! Karen and Rene were simply amazing to assure and provide the best experience with the horses! 2hs ride up and down, by the beach and wetland! No words to express my gratitude for that! Edgar and Fernanda the managers were great! Always present and around. The culinary and wine experience were the cherry of the cake! Great menu composition, a mix of local cuisine and varieties for all tastes and my husband has a list of food he can not eat, and nevertheless if was an issue. On our way out even a lunch box for the long journey back! So thoughtful! Thank you to each and every one of you that make our getaway remarkable! Keep up bcoz you bring joy to people live and experience

Wonderful hotel

A wonderful hotel with some great rooms. Staff really helpful. The views are amazing. Must visit but try to fly in to Castro for a short transfer around 30 minutes. Food very good. The hotel organises tours and we particularly enjoyed the west coast of the Pacific. Wonderful views including some penguins in the distance.

Explore, Discover & Indulge.

We stayed for four night, including over the New Year and to say this hotel is exceptional is an understatement. The staff are some of the best we have come across, nothing is to difficult. Our drivers and guides set the standard as far as we are concerned. They are knowledgeable, pleasant and a joy to be with. They make exploring of this magical island in northern Patagonia a real treat. Our room had amazing view, as all do. They are well appointed and just the place to crash after a day exploring. The meals were all great, especially the traditional food produced in a traditional oven on one night. Explore, discover, and indulge, that should be their motto.
