Everything bad you read about this hotel is absolutely true, and I will add my two cents to it. Bottom line, feel free to read the details but completely avoid this hotel if you value your own time and peace of mind. I had a suite booked and arrived a little early but was able to check in. We go up to our "suite" to discover it is a standard King room. Okay, so I call down to the front desk and the mistake is acknowledged. I was to come back down and retrieve the keys for the suite. So we go back downstairs only to discover the room is not ready yet. So we went for a walk around Celebration for about an hour and come back, after check-in time mind you, and just then the room was barely ready. In fact, when we got to the room the housekeepers were literally walking out the door. But it gets better! It seems the hotel is understaffed. The person at the front desk was alone and clearly getting overwhelmed by check in time and having all these details to manage. It is obvious the property has been renovated and still smells of new construction. There was some material debris in the hallway by the way but okay. The suite looks great and okay, minor complication but now best foot forward for a pleasant evening. We head back out to the festivities in Celebration that evening and return later to discover a toilet which is back flowing and wants to overflow onto the floor. I call downstairs and ask them to send maintenance. About a half hour goes by, so back downstairs we go. The front desk attendant has the room number written down, but is too busy talking and claims they forgot to call. So another twenty or so minutes goes by and maintenance arrives. Then we discover it is not the toilet, it is a deeper plumbing issue so there is no repair. So here we are, it is now around 10:00 PM in a room with toilet with questionable plumbing. The remedy you ask? How about moving to another room (not a suite) at half price? What kind of remedy is that? I can see going along with this only to have the other room develop the same plumbing issue! Then what? Upon returning downstairs, there are others complaining of problems with their rooms as well! So, without a reasonable resolution we literally packed up and left the room, retrieved the car from valet and drove to another resort nearby. The following morning the hotel director calls me but what is there to talk about really? At least they did not argue about refunding the room, which the front desk clerk did want to debate the night before, so they will want to argue with you over it. Be prepared. I am sure hotel management spent the better part of the day making phone calls to disappointed people my call came at 1100. I am glad for a drama free refund but oddly enough there was no offer of any kind as compensation for the trouble or inconvenience of moving hotels at 1030-1100 at night. Frankly though, I would not accept a free night there because I have no intention of staying there again, at least not until I see some positive feedback which clearly show this place has turned around. I would post the video I have of the bubbling gurgling toilet for your viewing pleasure but we will forgo that, and a still image does not do it justice, but trust me, it all happened. On a personal note, let me tell you, this is a beautiful property in an ideal location and Marriott is squandering what could be a flagship property in one of the most tourist centric places in the world. It is a smaller hotel but it could be a great experience and factored into my choosing to stay there specifically given my overnight plans in Orlando. Sadly, it's a debacle.

My husband reserved a suite for us for the weekend. When we checked in they gave us a regular room. No big deal called them and was told oh we made a mistake come down and we’ll get you in the right room. Go down to the lobby and find out the suites not ready . Ok again not a problem was told they would call us when it’s ready. An hour goes by without a phone call, check in is at 4 it is now 4:45 so we decide to see if it was ready and guess what it was. Again maybe it was an oversight not worth getting upset about and head up to the suite. Everything seems good so we go to dinner and when we come back that’s when things get horrible. The toilet started to overflow so we call downstairs and Glenda tells us she will have maintenance come up. 45 minutes later and no one shows. I go down and ask about it and Glenda said she forgot! I could not believe it! So she tells me she’ll let them know now. 30 minutes later maintenance shows up try’s to fix it but says it’s a plumbing problem that can’t be fixed and leaves. I go downstairs. Tell Glenda we are leaving. I am not staying in a room that doesn’t have a working toilet . She tells me that She’ll still have to charge me because I checked in. I told her you cannot have a hotel room without a working toilet. She proceeds to tell me not to argue with her . I informed her we are leaving. I will dispute the charge with my credit card Company. I started talking to a lady who was in line behind me and she was there to make a complaint about getting the wrong room. Also, I informed her to be careful with the toilets because they will put you in a room with a toilet that overflows and not give your money back after that Glenda decided to call the manager and canceled my reservation. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt after reading these other reviews about the same interactions and experiences and believe me they are true. Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else!

I think it’s important to provide some context and balance as the hotel completes its renovations. Having arrived today, every aspect of the hotel is improved from the lobby, to the bar and importantly the rooms which are First Class. Yes we encountered some small teething problems but what would you expect! If you managed a major overhaul of your home you would expect some issues? So you should not be surprised if you encounter some issues in a major hotel refurbishment. The staff have been exemplary and couldn’t support us enough. Rather than complain, we should celebrate that the hotel is in a positive transition from good to GREAT. We are very excited at the prospect of spending Christ as here

Worst hotel ever. They had the audacity to charge full rates whilst renovations were being carried out and some facilities were not available. I emailed them twice prior to travel to ask about the impact of construction works but guess what… they didn’t reply. Charged me again for my room despite having prepaid through a third party ,front desk supervisor was rude and dismissive when I questioned this. Definite training issue here. Not what I expect of a “ so called “ AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION hotel . Emailed Marriott customer services over a week ago asking for the email address of hotel manager so that I could email her directly but they didn’t have the decency to reply . Will never stay in this hotel again, it was a massive disappointment and worth nowhere near the ridiculous amount they charge . They totally spoiled what was supposed to be a special occasion for us.

Our two-night stay at the Celebration Hotel was an absolute nightmare. The property is undergoing renovations, but we received no prior warning that this meant walking into a filthy, unprepared room. There was water on the floor, the tub was dirty, and the entire room reeked of paint. It was barely livable. The disaster escalated halfway through our stay when, at 11 PM, the toilet broke. They tried to remedy this by moving us to two comped rooms, but one of those had—surprise!—another broken toilet. The lack of care and preparation was staggering. To make matters worse, the manager, Seilly Pacheco, was the most unprofessional and disrespectful hotel employee I’ve ever encountered. She outright accused us of trying to scam the hotel, saying, “I expected you would try to do this.” Excuse me? We didn’t ask for broken toilets or a filthy room! Her dismissive attitude and baseless accusations made an already terrible experience infuriating. She should not be managing a hotel—or anything, for that matter. We were eventually comped one night, but only after an exhausting fight. Honestly, we should have been comped the entire stay. This was nowhere near acceptable, and the management’s reluctance to take responsibility was appalling. This hotel used to be a beloved destination for our family under the previous ownership, but Vision Hospitality Group has destroyed its reputation. Their inability to run a hotel is only matched by their horrible customer service. Marriott should be ashamed to have their name tied to this mess. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

“Excellent location. Fun to walk around the village area and around the lake and the bar is the happening place at night. Since it is not in the Disney complex it is quieter with less kids. Beautiful rooms. Perfect for a couple.”
