Such a beautiful hotel, with tons of festive spirit for the holidays. Great staff and nice rooms. We had some food and drinks on site and everything was amazing. I’ve also had treatments at their spa before (separate stay) and it was top notch. Thanks!

This was not the first time I have been to Charleston Grill. Every time has been an exquisite culinary experience. I have especially enjoyed the waiter Sterling's recommendations the past two times I've been there. He has defined meals for me and my friend that we both have loved. It is perhaps my favorite restaurant anywhere! The food, the atmosphere, the musicians, and especially the service…all combine into a perfect dining experience.

Exceptional service, incredibly beautiful property both lobby and sleeping rooms. Wonderful, curated shops to appeal to every age group. Best location in Charleston. A crown jewel of downtown. The decorations for the holidays were outstanding...even had snowfall three times a night outside. Attention to details at this property are meticulous...and I'm a former hotelier so I notice small details.

Horrible care about customers,- noise past 10pm in order to 'beautify' hotel but who cares about people? That elderly and children are resting in bed after 10pm only to hear another bout of remodeling noise form 10:18 to 10:30pm. The notice warned about the noise until 10pm. Forget that I have insomnia and now wpnt be able to sleep and came here to recover from busy work...am beyond d disappointed. Not to mention this is heard Ona club level with prices exceeding 600 dollars per night...everything else pales in comparison and completely overpowers the rest of 'magic' Christmas experience, on December 19th..

Great hotel with old time charm, service is fantastic, food is great, and the rooms are beautiful. The proximity to everything in town is a major plus and they offer great walking tours that originate in the lobby of the hotel. The decorations around Christmas are beautifully done and the entire hotel is very nicelt decorated.

I traveled with my family (husband, and two children ages 2 and 4) on a Luxury Link auction package to Charleston Place in August. True good service is making travel effortless for the visitor, and Charleston Place delivered. There was no problem in bringing our children. We arrived about an hour before official check-in, but our room was ready and keys were given. Concierge had pre-printed directions to many of the sites. Finally, our Luxury Link credits for spa and dinner was automatically applied at check-out, so the check-out sheet that I received the morning of departure already had the correct amount that needed to be charged. Effortless! The Club floor included an expanded continental buffet breakfast, as well as drinks and finger foods throughout most of the day. This was very convenient and the breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres were particularly extensive. What makes Charleston Place stand out from myriad other places to stay in Charleston - many more historic or quaint or intimate - is the amenities offered. The pool with surrounding deck and kiddie pool is a very pleasant spot. The spa treatments were wonderful and very professional. Dinner at Charleston Grill was our favorite meal of the trip. The flavors were complex and fresh - this is not your typical fried and heavy Southern cuisine. I can see Charleston Place appealing to business travelers, couples needing pampering, families with older children, and yes, families with young children. All in all, a service-oriented hotel in a wonderful location with superior amenities and appealing to many different types of travelers.
