The Charleston Place

My husband and I and our family and friends stayed here during our wedding festivities and we could not be more grateful for the team at The Charleston Place for the exceptional service and care they provided. Every staff member we encountered was so kind and eager to make our stay that much more special, it felt like the entire hotel was celebrating with us. The Club Level was a perfect gathering spot during downtimes and our family visiting from out the country were delighted with the food and beverage services. Big shoutouts as well to the Palmetto Cafe and Thoroughbred Club staff for taking care of our large (and occasionally loud, so sorry!) parties. We could just go on and on about how perfect the whole weekend was and none of it could have happened without The Charleston Place and its amazing staff. Thank you!

We came to Charleston on business, but stayed on for a few days to explore the city. The Charleston Place was the perfect home base for us - a beautiful, recently restored hotel, filled with genuinely friendly staff. Sandwiched between Meeting Street and King Street, we found it an easy walk to almost any restaurant, historic site or interesting shop we wanted to try. Don't miss the lovely garden courtyard facing Market Street to enjoy the last of the afternoon sun and maybe have a glass of wine before we heading out to dinner. Just paradise.

You could not encounter a nicer and more accommodating staff. From the valets going above and beyond for us to the bellhop giving us a full rundown of the hotel on our way up to Roosevelt personally walking us to the spa to the woman who delivered breakfast on our first morning and immediately realized our need for coffee to Dan the club bartender teaching us new drinks… we could not have asked for anything more!

I hosted a group of couples at the Charleston Place Hotel--it was an incredible experience!! The hotel is lovely--beautiful rooms and a GREAT location. However, what really sets them apart is the service. All of our events, dinners, transportation, tours etc were coordinated by the hotel's in house events staff--headed by Natalie! It was a flawlessly executed weekend of tours, events, & dinners. Our group of 40 was treated like VIP's the entire time--staff was so helpful and caring of all of us! I can't recommend this hotel enough--whether it is a group of 2 or 40!! Fantastic experience!

I live 30 minutes north of Charleston but when I visit Downtown, the Charleston Place is aust stop. Where else ya gonna go where someone opens the door for you with a genuine smile and is happy to do so, EXCELLENT energy, Beautiful Fragrant fresh flowers all over, amazing attentive kind unpretentious staff, I loved breakfast at the Palmetto Cafe, delicious and Hal was informative and incredible
