Things we loved about the hotel: 1: The valet/bellhop service is outstanding. We were especially impressed with Jim Trenor. He was so very friendly and helpful and provided a nice introduction to the amenities as he was taking us to our room. He stopped along the way to explain the various services/amenities. 2: Great location, beautiful hotel, very nice outdoor area, on-site restaurant/bar, very courteous and helpful staff. Things we weren't so crazy about: 1: No coffee service in the room. However, a nice coffee service is available at the elevator on each floor. We prefer not to want to get 'dressed' to get coffee. We prefer to get up and lounge with a cup of coffee to get our day started. 2. Room location - boy, what a hike! We stayed in room 355, at the very end of a very long hallway. If you forget something or want to grab something out of your car, you had better pack a snack! 3. People who smoke had nowhere to go but outside the hotel. We have stayed at many hotels in the area that provide a decent place for someone to smoke.

Great suite. Very classy and roomy. Comfy bed and sheets. Great food in hotel which never happens. Great staff: Marcelo my waiter and Guceppi (sp?) my valet were impressive. We switched hotels for a fun and different Charleston experience; Glad we switched.

Hotel Emeline was everything I hoped it would be! Outstanding service, charming atmosphere, and located close to all the shopping, restaurants and bars! We loved our breakfast at Fanny & the Fox, coffee from Clerks was delicious, and Mark from the valet services made some great recommendations for local spots! We will definitely be back!

Great place to be in the middle of it all. The people even made it better. Thanks especially to Amanda, Jimmy and Savana. Valet was excellent. Atmosphere even better than expected. Attention to details. Cocktails were exceptional. Serviced with the southern smiles. Cheers

Our recent stay at Emeline in Charleston was an exceptional experience for our family. Decorated for the holiday season, we arrived in awe of the hospitality and professionalism of the front desk agents. We arrived earlier than our check in time and were given the peace of mind knowing our bags and personal items would be brought up to our room while we grabbed some breakfast, coffee, and hot cocoa at Clerks, their on site coffee shop. I can’t tell you how many pictures I took of my children in front of the beautiful Christmas tree in the lobby. Our room was spacious and cozy, perfect for traveling with little ones, and the coffee station by the elevators was an extra touch of pure joy coming from and going on our daily adventures. The staff consistently made our family feel special, and every single encounter with team members was joyful, professional, and all around helpful. We can’t wait to come back and see more of what Charleston has to offer, but mostly we’ll be back just for Emeline.
