Reviews for The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge

Best staycation I’ve ever had in my local area

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

I stayed here for a solo staycation and it was amazing! If you are looking for a relaxing weekend, you will love it here. The onsite restaurant is really good and there is also a full spa onsite with both an indoor and outdoor pool. It was raining while I was at the resort, so it was nice to still be able to enjoy the amenities even though the weather wasn’t the best. If you want a bit more variety in your food choices, there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance too. The only issue I had was with the shower in my room. The shower head is non-detachable and unadjustable. And since the standalone shower is so small, there is no possible way to wash your body without being in the direct flow of water the entire time. I’ve seen similar shower heads at budget resorts, so this is the only thing I’d change to make this a 100% luxury experience. You can find a better visual representation of my experience on my Instagram page @fortravelfanaticsonly.

Fine Luxury Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I stayed at The Ballantyne for almost a full week, and it truly lives up to its luxury reputation. The room was beautifully designed, and I especially loved the bathtub. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a courtyard view and was instead placed on the parking lot side, which was a bit of a letdown. The bed was on the firmer side, so my sleep wasn’t the best, but that’s more of a personal preference. The customer service here is fantastic—they definitely acknowledged my Platinum Elite status, which I appreciated. The Galleria restaurant was very good, though a bit pricey, but that’s expected at a luxury hotel. Parking was also convenient, with both self-parking and valet options. The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants, pharmacies, and easy access to the interstate. The highlight of my trip was running into my childhood idol, David Robinson, outside the hotel. You never know who you might see here, which could be a plus for those who enjoy celebrity sightings. Overall, a great stay with minor drawbacks.

Great Weekend Staycation

My wife and I had a wonderful getaway to the hotel. The room was great, a huge tub was a wonderful bonus we didn't know about! The staff was great and a special shout out to Juan at the restaurant. We met another couple at the bar and enjoyed some amazing drinks. The final touch to our weekend was a delicious brunch at the restaurant!

Wonderful place that uplifts your spirit & mind; we go there for their restaurant or tea parties with the kids . Christmas time is the best to visit since they have great decor . They do ginger bread expositions every year and it became a family transition to go visit and brunch their. It’s little old hotel but they get do great job maintaining it
