The staff as always is phenomenal! However, with value of stay we had a leaking gas fireplace valve which maintenance needed to shut off, the toilet would not stop running over night which I was able to fix and small lack of maintenance such as bathroom hooks being loose and falling off make the value of stay take a hit on overall experience.

Visually stunning place to stay on the Cape. Very pricey. But save up and spend it there for the right, special occasion.

Lovely suite overlooking the fish pier, Tern Island, Chatham Harbor, North Beach and looking East to the Atlantic. Room was immaculate and the radio was playing Christmas carols as we arrived.

We wanted a bit of a Christmas getaway and heard great things about the Chatham Bars Inn. Had a great time in town during the day and checked in around 4. Happened to be a rainy/windy night but we were staying in the Main Inn so the weather wasn't much of an issue. The Inn is a bit older so anyone expecting an updated hotel will be disappointed. We had a nice corner room overlooking the ocean. Mattresses are pretty old/soft. The bathroom fan didn't work very well and we had an issue where the toilet stopped filling with water. We had to bucket brigade to flush and I managed to get the valve working. We also had used complimentary lotion samples in the room. Had dinner at the Sacred Cod Tavern (just OK and very expensive) and breakfast at Stars (very good but pricey). Despite all of this our main problem with our stay was when we checked out and told them the room issues we had - all we got was a "I'll tell the engineer". No "Sorry For The Inconvenience". No "We'll Take Something Off Your Bill". No "How Was Your Stay". We did get a couple of melted chocolates though. Hate to be so negative but I guess we expected better at this price point ($570/Night in the dead of winter). I'm sure in the summer it's nicer but at double those room rates? C'est La Vie

Wonderful Resort hotel with great sea views and excellent staff and service standards - nothing is too much trouble. Cannot be faulted.
