Reviews for Little America Hotel and Resort

I'd stay here again.

A beautiful old hotel with a golf course just outside Cheyenne. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room had a little balcony overlooking a swimming pool. The main building is gorgeous and worth a look around. It was quiet despite a busy highway just outside. I would stay here again because it's peaceful and you have easy access to I-80. I dropped a star because the heating rattled and banged for about two hours until we turned it up really high even though we didn't need heating. Also, there weren't any extra blankets and the room was cold to begin with. Thankfully the heating could be turned down later. The room door rattled every time someone entered the passageway from the outside. The door didn't fit the door jamb very well and I could see light between the door and the frame, letting in passing voices and noises. Bathroom was beautiful with lots of lovely towels and cloths.

One Night Only

We stayed here for one night while on a recent road trip. This probably the nicest hotel we had while touring around but unfortunately shortly after checking in there was a power cut. We ended up going out for a wander around Cheyenne and straight on for an evening meal in the hope that power would be restored by the time we returned which it was. Obviously not the fault of the hotel but we didn't really have a chance to use the bar, pool or gym areas during our short stay. However, we asked one of the reception staff for a restaurant recommendation which turned out to be great for the early evening meal. A pity this was only a 1 night stay but we liked what we saw of this hotel.

Dont miss out

I absolutely loved my stay! A few highlights to note was the fitness center equipped with cables and free weights. Clothes steamer in each room. Dimmable lights throughout. New 50" flatscreens. Huge outdoor Pool. Nice staff. Luxuriously manicured setting. Private balconys. 2 sinks! one in and the other outside of the bathroom. Best water pressure in north america besides niagra falls. Updated bathrooms with huge mirrors. Thank you Little America for setting the bar so high. Fitted sheets would be a nice upgrade.

Same caliber as a motel 8 but without a complimentary breakfast

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

This is no better than a motel 8. It’s fine if you just need a place to hang your hat for the night. The tv didn’t work. The beds are the worst ive ever slept on and im in a new hotel every month. They only have sheets for blankets and only provided 1 towel for the room. They also would not give us a later checkout even though we didn’t get in until 12:30. Breakfast is $30 a person.

Savor the nostalgia

We were fortunate to look outside the box of big-boy owned hotel chains and find this gem. It’s far more personal and you can feel the caring. Everything was spectacular, and the hotel staff is cheerful and very accommodating. Most importantly, the pillows may have been the best we’ve ever had and the bed was truly divine. Night-time comfort is paramount. We did not try the restaurant/lounge or counter cafe but rather went out to a favorite diner for breakfast (shout out to Diamond Horseshoe Cafe!). We had a spacious king room, with old-school but decent furniture, a large bathroom and many thoughtful amenities. The steamer was a nice find and it worked excellent for a quick unwrinkle. We were on the back side of Lodge 4 overlooking the grounds but not the pool, by choice. We were able to pull up within feet of our door which made things a breeze; not so for all rooms. We had a nice little patio area and could also open the window that had a screen. This was a nice departure from the usual fare and a third night would have been great, had we the time.
