The Drake Hotel Chicago

Loved the "Old" feel of the hotel...Staff were great until our 3rd day... we booked 3 rooms for 3 nights and on our 3rd night, the Hotel lost power...our rooms became unbearable with heat and there was NO hot water... when checking out, staff never bothered to mention the issue ?? Our son had to go straight to work that morning with no ability to shower etc no area to eat or even sit for a coffee....(all restaurants closed the next morning) A reason for no power would have been appreciated .. when I asked, they offered 5,000 Hiltons points per room.... Not needed thanks...

Outstanding and elegant vintage hotel over 100 years old. All staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, especially the Maitre d’, Joey, when I was there on a one night stay visiting a Japanese friend. We enjoyed our pristine room with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan, the Coq d’ Or bar (serene and calming atmosphere), the Mangel Florist and Gift Shop and the absolutely stunning accoutrements and floral arrangements throughout the hotel. I always choose The Drake when I’m in Chicago and I definitely will next time!

I absolutely love this hotel. The architecture is stunning and the history is amazing. My husband and I live in Saint Charles, IL but through the years of our marriage, we come and spend a night here when we want to experience downtown Chi. This hotel is so clean and well maintained. It's absolutely charming. Additionally, once or twice a year, we come here for tea and have done so since my oldest was a baby. The service remains excellent and the staff is ALWAYS so gracious. We're currently staying the night for Valentine's day and it's as beautiful as it has always been. We came for Christmas Tea in December and that was amazing as well. I have had Tea Time around the country, Dallas, Washington D.C., to name a few and even Vancouver Canada and nothing compares to the Tea Time here. It is only rivaled by The Ritz in London, which was also amazing, but not bottomless. I can not say enough good this about this place. Hat's off to the management. In a world that's quickly changing where etiquette and good manners are less common, it's nice to still be able to experience old world charm and excellent service right in my beautiful Chicago!

Stayed at the Drake hotel on the way to London last year. Typical American hotel with great service adn amenities. The food was fine and the beds really comfortable. The price was at the higher end of what I would have paid ideally but apart from that no real complaints

Excellent service at front desk after slight room issues. Food was great. Service in Restaurants was great… Daniel and Elvis provided joyful service. Very attentive. My husband left his phone in our room and Dustin went to the room, found the phone and arranged for shipping to us at home. Wedding reception was lovely, great food. Would definitely recommend staying here.
