Reviews for Four Seasons Hotel Chicago

Loud, clanging pipes, unresponsive manager

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 16 hours ago

I was so looking forward to a peaceful post surgery stay. I am a mom of four and was terrified of my recovery. Unfortunately, my room was unbearably loud. I think I slept cumulatively 20 minutes all night. It sounded like someone was in the bathroom with a metal pipe filled with 20 marbles banging it on the counter every five minutes. It was so loud I would be jolted awake filled with fear despite wearing sound canceling headphones with white noise. After letting the manager Cory know that I was recovering from a surgery and desperately needed sleep, I was told that like “all skyscrapers around the world” the building sways to withstand wind. Since I am (believe it or not!) familiar with these alleged winds I can assure you the metal banging was in fact, not swaying induced. The flippant disregard for my experience left a sour taste in my mouth and such disappointment towards my favorite Four Seasons Hotels around the world. Just a sad day all around that left me exhausted, in pain, and completely demoralized.

The Four Seasons Chicago is our favorite hotel, anywhere. We visit Chicago regularly to see family and the Four Seasons always makes it a great experience. Staff are attentive and knowledgeable. Service is great. Our room was comfortable and spacious. All in all, a 5 star hotel experience.

Great upscale option for families

My husband and I and our two young kids (4 and 6) had a great experience here. We stayed Thursday - Sunday. Our room was great; we had one of the suites I can’t remember which, I think just one up from a basic room. It helped to have a little extra space with all 4 of us. Our kids love to swim, and the pool /spa area did not disappoint. It was never very crowded. A bonus was that they had a few spare floaters (like Puddle Jumpers) and kid goggles, probably left by other guests but they keep them in a bin for people to use. We had forgotten our kids’ floaters so that was a nice bonus. The staff were all super friendly. Another plus: it’s connected to the 900 shops (a nice mall) that has a really sweet food court, so there’s easy access to food. They of course have on site dining / room service, but if you’re looking for something else or don’t want to spend so much the food court is a nice option.

Home at the Four Seasons

My best friend and I do an annual getaway in January and this year's planned trip to Charleston was abuptly changed due to the snow in the south that made it impossible to fly there. We pivoted and met in Chicago, deciding we wanted to stay somewhere amazing...the Four Seasons. We had a great trip and splurged on a two-bedroom suite. It was a great decision. Donell Bonaparte helped greatly with reservations and Vicente at the front desk took great care of us. The location, ambience, style, and welcoming nature was just what we were seeking. The rooms were pristine, clean, and beautiful. We did a spa day and had the best massages. Definitely take advantage of the spa. We loved the Four Seasons Chicago and recommend you stay there!

It's a Miricle

Don't belive that the good old days are gone. service is back in style at this property. When I thought that people could only look at a computer screen and barly answer questions with yes or no only. i'm wrong. The hotel and the staff are beautiful. The location for what we needed was fantastic. looking forward to going back in the warmer months ahead..
