Hyatt Regency Chicago

Great experience in Chicago. First time being in the city. Hotel was clean and very professional. Staff were friendly and meet my needs. We felt safe within the environment for myself and those involved. Location was very close (walking distance) to tourists attractions

The room and bathroom was a nice size. And its no doubt a great location Also a large TV and a great view. The room has limited light if you need to put on makeup. The shower while roomy doesn't have a place for your own soap, washcloth, etc. Was there for a banquet event and the food was surprisingly good...especially the cornbread croutons. Be aware, the extra fees each day of the room add up and they try offer you "perks" to offset but they are perks they know you most likely will never use such as a discount on clothing, a car service, shoeshine, etc.

We love the Regency, and it is our home away from home. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the breakfast is incredible, and the views are stunning. I have been staying here and hosting friends at the hotel for over 40 years. The Pritzker family is also beloved, and we will always stay at Hyatt when possible. We enjoyed Chicago Restaurant Week while visiting.

Parking is ridiculous, valet is rude. no pool, no good communication about directions etc. The only nice thing about it is the view and decor. I have been to many hotels downtown with many different perks and this one is just not one of them. Breakfast was delicious though.

I was at the Hyatt for a work conference with about 1,000 colleagues. HUGE place and everything went better than expected. No complaints or concerns and it was a lovely stay. The location was great also and was a reasonable walk from the Blue line.
