Reviews for Kinzie Hotel

Really enjoyed our stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Great location. Rooms with nice views of River North. Easy walking distance to our wedding venue, and many great restaurants. Great hospitality in setting up a Bridal suite for us, with additional chairs, tables, etc. Really helpful and friendly staff. Thank you!

Great Chicago base

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Well located hotel within walking distance of lots of Chicago attractions. The room was very clean and comfortable. Loved the free breakfast. Valet parking very expensive. Mostly friendly staff although one guy on reception was a little offish. The lady was lovely though. Great base in a great city.

Kenzie would be a deal at twice the price

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

We just returned from a 3-night trip to Chicago and were very happy with the Kenzie Hotel. We arrived around 10:30 AM to drop off our bags and head out to see the town, but we were pleasantly surprised that we were allowed to check in early. Our stay included breakfast and two drinks per person at happy hour. The room was very clean and had a great view. The bed was firm and extremely comfortable. The location was within walking distance of the river and the Magnificent Mile, and it was right in the middle of lavish nightlife and a fantastic restaurant scene. At just over $100 per night, the price was wonderful for this caliber of hotel. I would have gladly paid twice the rate.

First time in Chicago

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

First time to Chicago and wow what a find this little hotel was! Location was superb...in amongst all the big name hotels without the price tag. Easy 2minute walk to river. Walking distance from blue line airport train stop. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Room was huge with lounge seating area. Enormous super comfortable bed. Coffee machine and mini fridge in room. Room very clean and lovely large bathroom with heaps of bench space for your things (often a problem in hotels). Possibly best hotel shower ever....double shower head. Fantastic continental breakfast included and evening happy hour as well. Staff all very helpful and pleasant. Honestly can't find fault. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Horrible hotel experience, worst customer service. THIEVES.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

this hotel is the worst experience I have ever had. Took our money then kicked us and multiple families with children out on the street due to overbooking, at night in the rain. They refused to refund us and tried to claim they didn't kick us out. It was insane. I warn every single person I talk to away from this establishment. Worst experience of my life.
