PUBLIC Chicago is a complete transformation of the Gold Coast's famed Ambassador East Hotel and its historic Pump Room restaurant. Ambassador Hotel continues to be a classic
Hospitality is superb. Rooms are spacious and well kept. Food was delicious. Megan at the front desk exemplifies their superb service. Bon Ku was a gracious host. The proximity to Lake Michigan and uptown was a bonus. I will return again every year.

Armani is the best!!! Will be back. Absolutely stunning. The vibe is super low key but very upscale, classy, and relaxed. The food is great, amazing drinks, beautiful ambiance and bar. You’ll be well taken care of. Will be back next week!!!!

Armani is the best!!! he is so welcoming and inviting, i couldn’t have asked for a better server. he truly does it all. He encouraged us to walk around and experience the vibe of the whole place, and he added to the positive charisma of the experience

Drinks and appetizers
Armani made our night! We had such a wonderful experience and he was so welcoming. We had never been here before and he had made it such a positive experience! He explained the history to us and was so engaging to our party. We were with a small group but I will be back with more fiends next time thanks to Armani!

Nice hotel but slightly disappointed
I’m giving 5 stars because it’s no fault to the hotel. I was researching nice hotels for my husbands birthday weekend and the pictures of the room looked way better than the actual room did in person, that was highly disappointing. There wasn’t a remote in our room but someone brought one 5 minutes within us asking, it’s a nice hotel but I definitely wouldn’t spend another $350 for a night there.
