This hotel is wonderful. The room was spacious and we had a lovely city view. But the best thing about the hotel are the employees. Everyone we had contact with was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My husband is handicapped and making sure he was well taken care of was a priority. This is especially true of Hassan. He greeted us every time we saw him with a smile and always asked if there was anything we needed. Even in this hotel with wonderful hospitality, he is a stand-out! Thank you Hassan for making our stay extra special.

There are some great things about this hotel (staff, 25 yard pool, extensive gym facilities including basketball court, sauna, and steam room) but the wifi was terrible, unable to load even outlook email or gmail at times, or news/sports websites. We also had poor cel coverage (T mobile) so difficult to even text at times. Could not get wifi signal at all in the Business Center! Would not stay here again unless I could see from recent reviews that those problems were fixed. We were on the 11th floor. The building is funky with many small alcoves of rooms, perhaps that was a reason for the crappy wifi and cel coverage.

The Radisson Blu Aqua in Chicago is a beautiful hotel well located in the middle of Chicago. In the past one could also pay for a business class room and eat breakfast and an evening reception in the Executive Lounge on the 17th floor. Having paid the extra fee for a business class room, I was disappointed to find that this service had been eliminated. But I was reassured that the room was still worth it since “there’s a robe in your room!” So if you come to the Aqua looking for the lounge, you will be disappointed because it has been eliminated.

Comfortable hotel right near the park, lake and river. Very friendly staff — in particular, Gigi at the front desk was wonderful at check-in. She accommodated our requests, was very efficient, and super nice. Thanks Gigi! Beautiful lobby, comfy beds with pillows on the soft side. Our balcony has great city views.

Came in for a work conference put on at this hotel (Sept 24th-26th). Rooms were made avaiable for the attendees, which made it nice. That conference was probably the best part about this stay. We stayed 5 nights total. First two nights, not housekeeping showed up at all. The 2nd day, we ran out of toilet paper (there was 2 half rolls on the holder when we got in). After calling the front desk AND making a trip down there, we finally were able to get 2 more rolls, about 3 hours later. That 3rd night is when housekeeping started to come around.....between 8:15pm and 9:00pm. By this time, why would we need a bed made up when we are about to get in it? All the others we knew at the conference also had the same issues with no housekeeping. Out room also did not get very cool. We even turned the AC down to as low as it would go (65), but it still would not get near that cold. One of our companions room's AC did not even work at all. Their response was "did you try to open the window?" Needless to say, the window that DOES open only does from the side and only about 4 inches. Not sure how thats supposed to cool anything down. For the price and appearance they put towards this place, you would also think there would be a little fridge to keep stuff in. There is a fridge, but its full of stuff for you to buy. Theres even a little sign that says to not put personal stuff in the fridge. Also, they are proud of all their minibar offerings, since a small can of pringles is $8, among other insanely priced items. To us, the bed was comfy. Maybe not 4* hotel comfy, but its not anything to complain about. The location is fairly convenient to a lot of attractions, which was a bonus. The staff that we talked too were all pleasant and helpful. Its just the service of the hotel that really made this stay rather annoying. It seems that this hotel is more show and less substance. I'm not sure if its a staffing issue or that they believe its adequate. I have payed less at other hotels and received better service
