The Royal Sonesta is our go to hotel every time we come back to our hometown of Chicago. All the staff from the valet team, concierge, front desk and the housekeeping team are all amazing and always has smiles on their faces. Gio from the night security team and Antwonne are like my brothers every time we come to stay. There is no other hotel we would ever stay at. Especially with those Fuji tubs in the rooms! Perfection and a 10/10!

Booked 2 rooms. One for my husband and I and our daughter and one for my mother in law. When booking we were advised that we would get city views. That didn’t really happen. We were told “this is what is left and wasn’t booked.” Interior was beautiful. Rooms were clean. We arrived on the day that Chicago had a huge parade… traffic was crazy, and no parking at the hotel. Overall, it was ok. My daughter had fun at the swimming pool.

An easy early check in and a room with a little bit of a lake view made this a great two-night stay. The room and all public areas were very clean and well appointed and the location was centrally located to the Magnificent Mile, the Riverwalk, popular attractions like The Bean, several parks, and the lakefront. Restaurants a few blocks over on Clark Street gave us lots of delicious dining options. All of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming but Spiro was a stand-out! He bent over backwards to help us with things like a luggage hold and several cab requests. It really felt like a family member was looking out for us. The entire stay was an “A” but Spiro made it an “A+”. The only thing I would change was the sliding bathroom door as it is VERY heavy. It was especially hard to close. We would definitely stay here again!

The best of the Hotel was Edgar service at our breakfast each morning. He made us feel at home and was really friendly. Thank you Edgar and Happy Holidays. Also we loved our room and the hotel location. Really convenient while getting to know Chicago city.

The perfect hotel for our family to meet up for Thanksgiving! All hotel staff were amazing, friendly, and always happy to help with whatever we needed. The location was so close to everything we wanted to do! Very quiet and clean. Spiro and the rest of the doormen were always friendly, helpful, and fun to chit-chat with! Housekeeping kept rooms clean and friendly!
