The Royal Sonesta Chicago River North

We absolutely loved our 5-night stay at the Royal Sonesta River North. Perfect neihbourhood, walking distance to literally everything and some extraordinary restaurants - location is amazing! Highly recommend this hotel, it’s got great up to date cozy decor. We were welcome with a lovely Happy Annoverrary balloon, bottle of wine, chocolates and a card since we were celebrating our anniversary that weekend and it was our first time to Chicago! The staff, including Mike, Spiro, the ladies at the front desk and truly all of the security and team at the hotel were so lovely, friendly and helpful all weekend long. Our room was a suite with a giant hot tub, shower and king bed. Each night they provided turn down with chocolates and always made sure we had fresh water bottles. We found our room a bit dry since the heat was on and they were able to bring us a humidifier. Each morning they offered coffee and tea in the lounge area and we found the location great, an easy stay with top notch service and all around highly recommend this hotel. We absolutely would stay here again!

I'm not sure there's room for all of my compliments. The style of this unique boutique hotel is artistic, inviting, charming and clean. The front desk staff couldn't have been more accommodating with friendly smiles at all times. The restaurant attached was equally as wonderful! Spiro, Edgar and Andres were among the friendly staff members that helped us at a whim. The sheets and towels were luxurious! The pool, dreamy. We are going to make this an annual event. We won't even consider a different hotel. The location is perfect, walking distance to Navy Pier, great shopping and restaurants. Thanks to everyone, we were all blown away and can't stop talking about it.

Spiro was a super welcoming face entering your property. He went out of his way to make it a great experience for us both on our check-in and in our checkout. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, the Internet didn’t work the first day we were there, but did work the second day and the telephone didn’t work in our room so those attention to detail items should’ve been called out and fixed before we arrived. However, the staff was super friendly, and Spiro left us with a great impression of the hotel.

Came to celebrate my best friend birthday! It was a great experience and everyone was nice and helpful especially Spiro! I live here in Chicago and want to come back for a staycation. She also enjoyed her birthday! Will be showing my family and friends this beautiful hotel!

The Royal Sonesta is very clean, well put-together and intimate with a modern romantic feel. The staff is great— however, I have to call out one staff employee that goes above and beyond! The doorman Antwonne was so welcoming, sweet, considerate, and an amazing source of conversation! Antwonne makes you feel like a friend and priority all in one. He truly knows how to make your stay at Royal Sonesta feel individually special! Thanks Royal Sonesta and thanks Antwonne! :)
