The Windy City has long been home to Italian and Irish Americans, but there is now a French revolution underway at 20 East Chestnut - where Sofitel Chicago Water Tower resides. This 32-story downtown delight boasts a sleek design with equally modern interiors. Rooms take on a minimalist feel without sacrificing noted amenities. It is pure pleasure with designer furnishings, oversize marble baths, and cityscape views. The lobby, illuminated by the soft glow of candles, boasts relaxing conversational nooks, intriguing artwork and the aroma of fresh flowers.

Everything was amazing. The people were so kind, the room was clean and welcoming. The food was delicious, even the vegetarian options.

First time guest. Great propery! Very central location in Gold Coast. Within walking distance from Michigan Ave. Tons of shopping, restaurants and bars. The property itself is very well kept. They offered complimentary tea and coffee in the morning along with fruit infused water during the day. They offer turndown service as well which is always appreciated. The suite I got was very spacious and the mattress and pillows were heavenly. I slept so peacefully due to the fact that the blackout curtains really do their job, and the building is very well insulated to block out exterior and exterior noises. The bathroom was spacious and well lit. Lobby was immaculate and aesthetically pleasing. The clientele here is very friendly and hospitable. I enjoyed conversing with other guests while I was sitting in the lobby, waiting for my room. This property has multiple elevators, they move quickly- zero issues with them. Bellmen were very friendly. Cora, the manager at the front desk was so welcoming. She informed me of their rewards program and made check in smooth. She also provided me with a complimentary upgrade since it was my first time staying at the property, along with a late checkout and early check in free of charge. Cecilia really made an impact on my stay. The customer service she provided was top tier. She personally walked me to multiple rooms to make sure I liked them before booking. My heart was set on a high floor with an amazing view and she did everything she could to help me find the perfect room. I couldn't have been more happy with my stay. Cora and Cecilia were exceptional! Thank you for an amazing first time stay! I look forward to my next stay.

The hotel is very elegant with a nice spacious entrance. The location is very central: close to shops and excellent restaurants and The Magnificent Mile area, i have stayed many times at the Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile, always in winter (i stayed three times beeetween 2014-2020) so I also had lower prices. As i come from a poor area of Afghanistan i am always impressed by the high level hotels service. As soon as I entered the hotel I was asked if I needed car parking. I stayed for over a week each time in hotels for work reasons and my working conditions were tiring as I had to wander around the city for many hours a day in the middle of winter for meeting people, and also because the journey to Chicago was very long; and I can assure that Chicago is a beautiful city but in the winter it is very windy and cold; the room was clean and spacious, great decor with good curtains, but above all the room was quiet, i can remember a nice tv e a nice marble bathroom. The quality of rest and the comfort of the bed are the most important things during a business trip, the bed, with a wonderfull thick and white duvet, is an absolute luxury, just a dream to rest in; I particularly liked the duvet which was huge and the softest quality I have ever seen, I spent relaxing evenings working on the computer resting warm in the comfortable bed during the cold winter evenings ; obviously I slept very well also because the room was quiet and above all the view of the skyscrapers was spectacular; during my stays at the hotel I also saw a beautiful, well-equipped gym; often during work breaks I went to the hotel bar and found a warm and welcoming place to eat and drink something, Finally, in all my stays I booked breakfast, but not in the room and I must admit that it was excellent and rich, the eggs vere amazing. I conclude by saying that near the Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile there are many hotels, but no hotel can offer such comfortable conditions for a business traveler. Even though my trips were very tiring , the Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile always guaranteed me relaxing stays. Thank you for such pleasant holidays, Sofitel

I stayed here for a few days and the hotel was magnificent. The staff was friendly and very, very helpful. From check-in to check-out, it was fast and efficient. The room was large and had great amentities, with a nice table and chair with a couch. The bed was very comfortable and there is a menu for pillows!

I’ve always had great experiences at this hotel, but this last visit was special. Prior to our trip, I received a text from Kyle Nesbit, a Sofitel Concierge, asking if he could arrange anything in advance of our visit. When I told him it would be my great nephew’s first visit to Chicago, he inquired about his interests. I mentioned that he was a sports fan - particularly a Detroit Lions fan. Upon arrival to our room, we found several Detroit Lions items waiting for us. Thank you Kyle for helping to make my great nephew’s first trip to Chicago memorable.
