Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile

We stayed for 3 nights and were kindly offered an upgrade. We requested a quiet room, and the staff accommodated us perfectly by assigning a room on the 11th floor. The service was excellent, and our request was followed through seamlessly. The hotel provided complimentary bottled water, which was replenished daily—a thoughtful touch. The gym was beautifully maintained and very clean, making it a great alternative for those who prioritize fitness. While there is no pool, the well-equipped gym more than made up for it. The hotel’s central location was incredibly convenient and just a short walk to Whole Foods. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, service, and prime location.

Incredible experience from the moment I booked. Kyle Nesbit from the concierges desk reached out moments after booking online inquiring about the special note I put in the booking stating it was my fiancé‘s 30th birthday. He asked if there was anything special we could do champagne, strawberries, things like that I said absolutely, and he dipped strawberries in dark chocolate, my fiancé‘s favorite, and had a row of flower petals leading to the bed with little lights with the shape of “30”on the bed and counter. She was absolutely blown away. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Kyle deserves a promotion end of story. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

Kyle was a great help to my amazing weekend! I couldn’t thank him enough for his exceptional hard work and dedication to making our weekend special! I will always be grateful for that experience! Great start from start to finish. Clean, luxurious hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room had a nice view into the city. Hotel and staff were courteous

Staff: Check-in personnel professional, welcoming and friendly! Whenever I needed something they helped and arranged. Especially an extra thank you to the gentleman at check-in originally from St.Petersburg (I apologize for forgetting his name). Staff at bar was proactive and I experienced them as customer centric on recommendations and use of vouchers for free drinks as part of my ALL Status. Room: The room had good view on 31st floor (Upgraded from Standard room). The bed was very nice and the room well looked after. The atmosphere of the room to me was perfect! It had all you needed and could want in my opinion of amenities. The smart tv function was a welcoming feature. Breakfast : My order was very tasty and filling. The staff was efficient and friendly. Overall a good "french style", but less formal experience. For which I appreciated. Location: As with Fairmont this hotel's location is very good situated, although this is on the "upper end" of the Magnificent Mile. Easy access to everywhere we wanted to go and the hotel is well known to taxi and uber drivers, so never trouble getting back. Close (Walking distance) to the Pier and 360 experience and many good places to eat or for you to go crazy at shopping if so is your choosing 😊 Restaurant/Bar: The food at the Bar was tasty, reasonably priced in my opinion, and the staff was efficient, service-minded and kind (Thank you for fixing the complimentary drink). ALL Status recogniton: I was upgraded to Luxury Room (same as standard but on a higher floor) and had late check-out no problem. The welcome gift was tasty! Overall I experienced that the hotel acknowledge my status as Platinum. Other feedback: A bit more information when Breakfast is included would be great on what is the ceiling and what is included or not. I am not used to tax on top or experienced with a max voucher/limits to selection etc. The concept is fair and understandable given this was an ala-carte so no complaints from me. Maybe I am just a bit slow, but I was not aware of the logic until after the breakfast. In summary: A solid, but as expected Sofitel stay which delievered on food, atmosphere, bar, quality of the room, amenities and bed! I would happily go back here 😊
