Dodgy deposit practices, took over $1,000 in a deposit
Beware of credit card charges! This hotel took THREE separate deposits for a room booking (over $1,000) and now that the stay is over they actually took the money from one transaction, reversed another and the third still remains. Meaning they stole $380, won't release another $380 and released a third $380. Their systems seem totally broken. The room was left in the exact same condition as we found it in.

Exceptional Customer Service from LaTisa and Antoine
I arrived extremely ill and jet-lagged, so grateful for an extraordinarily comfortable room and bed. Antoine took care of my luggage and recommended the nearest place to buy new pajamas, while LaTisa cheerfully stayed past the end of her shift to ensure that I could book an addional night. Their kindness, care, and friendly attitudes went well above and beyond my expectations, ensuring that I'll highly recommend this hotel to any friends visiting Chicago. The place is great, but it's always the people who make the difference. These folks are exceptional.

Was good, just wish they had a few things different
Nice hotel, food isn't that good and expensive and they don't give you water you must bring your own or buy it. Otherwise it was a good stay, I felt safe in the hotel and the staff is nice. IF they can fix my above comments then i would rate them higher

Excellent Hospitality and Location
I travel quite a bit for work and Virgin Hotels Chicago has had the BEST hospitality that I have yet to experience. The staff is kind and accommodating and will you out of their way to ensure you are taken care of. Chad, at the front desk, even went out of his way to trade in my cocktail voucher for a breakfast voucher when I missed the open course of the lobby and rooftop bars. Will definitely be staying here during my next trip to Chicago!

Great location, poor customer service
The shower was horrendous. Water was either cold or scalding hot. I called guest services and they said they would send someone up to address the issue but nothing improved. I was in town for work so was out all day and couldn’t hang around to ensure that the issue was addressed. I stayed for three nights and the shower was absolutely awful every single time I used it. Will not be staying here again.
