True indulgence is all in the details, as youâ€(TM)ll discover at Chicagoâ€(TM)s Wheeler Mansion. Each bedroom and suite exudes a sumptuous mood, created by an amalgam of unique attributes such as a marble-topped antique vanity, a Baroque tapestry duvet, a reading chair with Wedgewood inserts and an antique walnut armoire from France. This National Historic Landmark, a rare survivor of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, enjoys a history as rich as the furnishings and honors that include the cityâ€(TM)s prestigious Preservation Excellence Award.

This is a beautiful Historic Hotel in a nice neighborhood within walking distance of a lot of history. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable, and the grounds are peaceful and relaxing. The hotel has bicycles you can use, which is wonderful. Festival was the hotel manager, david, who treats everyone like family. He noticed I had a flat tire, texted me about it, and then filled the tire with air and gave me a great suggestion on where to get it fixed a few blocks away. I also appreciated the parking spot that came with the room. Would go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend.

My girlfriends and I were so excited to stay in the Wheeler Mansion this past weekend. We were enjoying some girl time and going to the musical "Hairspray". Well the mansion did not disappoint! This is a beautifully elegant boutique hotel. Each room had something different to offer as far as artwork and decor. To the grand foyer and beautiful antique pieces that lined the living room and dining room, it was such a joy to stay there. David the Concierge was excellent, very attentive, friendly and also drove us to the theater. David also suggested for us to eat at the Pilsen Yards for dinner. The food and service were excellent. I can't say enough about our time there, we will definitely go back, plus we want to see it in the summer because the grounds look just beautiful.

Had a great time visiting The Wheeler Mansion with friends for a girls weekend..We arrived Saturday afternoon, checked in, had a snack and off we went!!! First a Matinee at the CIBC Theater, which was just a short ride away. Then a great dinner and drinks at Pilsen Yards!!! David, the Manager at The Wheeler recommended the restaurant for dinner and secured our reservation!! It was such a great place!! Breakfast is included with your stay so no need to find a place!! We all were able to place our orders the night before, it was so delicious and convenient!!! We had plenty of time and space to visit in their beautiful sitting room!!! I would highly suggest a stay at The Wheeler when visiting Chicago!!! It’s a hidden gem!!!

We were in town for only one day, and enjoy staying at boutique hotels. The Wheeler Mansion is not just a boutique hotel, but an elegant piece of history that has been very well preserved. Our host, David was very accommodating and made us feel right at home. The room was elegant and classy with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was made fresh and served to order instead of being thrown out on a buffet table. We'll be back and stay a bit longer when we have more time. Thank you David!

My wife and I were very excited about staying in Wheeler Mansion from the start as we learned about its history. Its was difficult to find this type of B&B in Chicago as many are contemporary and lack the character of an old mansion or are very expensive. So the building itself was a great attraction to us. We found it to be clean and well maintained with a very relaxing garden backyard. David the host, was very accommodating with all our needs and is an excellent chef. In all cases he went above and beyond along with his suggestions for restaurants and sites to see , help make our stay one of the best.He is a true ambassador to Chicago that made our stay in this great city a very pleasant memory.
