Today we went to the sandpearl to use the beach, have lunch and drinks. We are staying at their sister company, the opal sands, and the beach at our hotel is not open due to beach and sand cleanup from the hurricane. We went to the sandpearl and rented beach chairs, ate lunch and drinks and were relaxing on the beach when we were asked to leave because we were not staying at that hotel. We explained the circumstances with our beach and since they were sister properties we thought we could use the beach. I understand that the pool is off limits, but we spent over $150 on chairs and food service and they told us it was too bad for us that our beach was closed. This is a terrible way to treat a guest and especially when the hotel was at low capacity and the beach had over 90% of the chairs empty! This is terrible customer care!

Stayed here last week. PAID for ocean front and got ocean view with roof top of restaurant smack in my face. Was told all rooms were booked. Lies. The entire towers on both sides were dark the entire week, and all but one room in each had no chairs on the balconies. So these rooms were vacant.

What a great hotel! Luxury, right on the beach. Has everything you need for a great vacation. I’m sure it gets very crowded in the summer but September was glorious. Perfect weather. Great outdoor cafe, a Starbucks on site. Rooms very spotless and beds very so comfortable. Champagne on arrival. The best sunsets. Everything in walking distance. You would think you were at an all inclusive hotel outside the country.

We have been visiting this establishment for several years. Prior to coming in July, I made a reservation for a pool cabana for 7/27/24, day after our arrival. That morning my husband went to check on the reservation for the cabana. They had no reservation. I had proof via an email confirmation. We did get $200 off our reservation for the hotel thanks to Manager JoJo. Other problems were screaming children in the room next to us from 8-10 pm. Housekeeping the last night took our dirty towels and did not replace with clean towels. The biggest problem was when we checked out and got our bill, all was agreed upon. Once home and a few weeks later we got our credit card bill, it showed an additional $413.36 charge after we had left. I called the hotel and spoke with William from accounting. He talked with JoJo and said I had made another reservation for Pool cabana, which I denied. William from accounting then asked me if I was accusing JoJo of lying. Are you kidding me?? Finally, after this bickering with accounting, I finally had my credit card reimbursed. Beware! Keep an eye on your bills !! Very disappointing!! Even with proof of my reservation of the pool cabana , I was treated like a liar. Not even a sorry from William in accounting. I did, also, send a letter to General Manager dated August 15 to Mr. Eric Waltz. Pros-Front door-Lydia, Valentina- champagne distributor, bartenders in Caretta's, Kevin and Brian

Very disappointed. It is my wife's birthday and I wanted her to have a special treat. I wrote to them in advance via the Expedia app to request early checkin but got no response from the hotel. We arrived at 2 pm on a Monday and even though they immediately gave a room to the couple before us, the young lady at the desk said that we would have to wait until 4 pm for our room. She said they would message us if our room becane available earlier. In the meantime I saw other guests walking away with room keys and went back to the same registration clerk who, very reluctantly, said our room was ready and gave me the keys. The room was a big disappointment. I paid $530/night for a balcony with "partial coastal view". I got a room on the 4th floor and you can see that my real view was some ugly roofs and parking with a distant view of the beach. Mostly obscured. See photo below of my "view" from the balcony. I do not recommend this hotel unless you have a pool/ocean view or get an upper floor (6th or higher) for the so-called partial view.
