Reviews for Hacienda de San Antonio

Beautiful property insanely bad food.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

While the property is stunning as is the scenery, the food is absolutely terrible. -5 stars. Extremely chewy meats, burnt coffee, etc. The worst food I've had in Mexico (I've been around 10x to the country all around). Unfortunately the nearest town is around 30 minutes away so you're trapped. It's funny because the property (as does its sister resort Cuixmala) market themselves as having self contained organic farm. I can only assume they're skimping on quality to save money because how can it be this bad? The land looks arable! There's a volcano providing nutrient rich soil.

One of the best Hacienda's in Mexico

The Hacienda de San Antonio far exceeded our ( high ) expectations! This place is so far over the top it is hard to even explain it. Staff, property, accommodations other guests all fabulous Safe travels from Cross Border express into Tijuana terminal And easy flight with Volaris Under 3 hours to Colima - Colima Airport is a bit third world ( ladies bathroom has no seats on toilets ) - but everyone was nice Hacienda driver picked us up in new suburban and drove us about 40 minutes through both sugar and coffee plantations - beautiful country - Arrival was special With staff

A dream come true, this is all I can say! The staff, the beauty inside and surrounding the hotel, the way everything is cared for to make your stay unforgettable! And the lemon tart….Perfection! We hope to be able to stay there again in the near future.

I can't put enough positive words to describe this magical place! BY FAR the best service we have ever experienced in all our travels around the world! The STAFF, by far are exceptional! The food, OH MY GAWD, the experiences - cow miking, picnic in the meadow, breakfast on the raft, SO FIRST CLASS, I just can't stop talking about our visit to friends and family! This magical place is perfect for anyone that lives a hectic life, and wants to escape to a magical, relaxing place. Hacienda de San Antonio, you all are doing great things there! Please don't ever change!

beautiful but...

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed April 21, 2022

this is a gorgeous property. However, it is was not a good fit for us. The temperature was in the 80's and none of the rooms have AC and enormous amounts of mosquitos made it impossible to open windows (no screens). There is one restaurant with a very limited menu; you can not find another place to eat unless you drive at least one hour. After enjoying a beautiful walk, horse back riding and seeing the lake where you can paddle board we had nothing to do. Great if you want to relax, read and soak up nature for the entire time as there is nothing else to do or see.
