True to Six Senses' philosophy of selecting remote yet accessible destinations in areas of outstanding natural beauty, Six Senses Con Dao enjoys a breathtaking setting in a protected national and marine park. The first five-star resort in Vietnam's archipelago islands, it is contemporary in design and reflects the essence of a traditional fishing village. For complete peace of mind, arriving guests can arrange their domestic round-trip flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Six Senses Con Dao by contacting the resort's reservations department.

An incredible experience from the minute we arrived. The resort is very beautiful and our room (a duplex one bedroom villa on the beach) was understated luxury, very private and supremely comfortable. Each guest gets allocated a bike on arrival, which is great because the resort is spread out along the bay. Our room was very close to the main part of the hotel, so we didn't need them but did enjoy a few little potters to the far end of the resort and back. The food in both restaurants is top quality and the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. There was so much choice that we found it hard to actually choose and ended up eating far more than usual. Staying here could mean simply chilling and enjoying the environment but we chose to take advantage of the various activities on offer such as 'feed the fish' golf, where you hit out into the sea using biodegradable golf balls that are filled with fish food! We also did a cooking class, which took place in one of the three kitchen gardens and did a guided jungle walk. Oh, and there was also an amazing spa where I had a wonderful massage. The staff, without exception, could not have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. A special mention goes to Nhan, our GEM (Guest Experience Manager) who made our stay extra special and even managed to return my husbands earphones by flying them express courier over to our hotel in HCM City after he left them in the room. We are now total Six Senses fans and looking at where else in the world we can stay with them, though we'd love to go back to this hotel at some point in the future too.

Our family had a wonderful time here at Six Senses. It was certainly not the first time that we’ve stayed here but indeed one of the most memorable. We were enthusiastically welcomed and taken care by Tú, our GEM, who helped organise all of our details and activities to be done (so you don’t have to worry about travelling carefree). We only stayed for such a short time but there honestly are so much things to do and enjoy. This also applies to the kids - for us, they had a blast making candles and learning about turtle preservation here in Con Dao. The scenery is very peaceful and quiet, thus great for relaxation. We’re very happy to come back here soon!!

IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING STAYING AT THIS HOTEL, BE AWARE THAT YOUR DECISION WILL IMPACT THE ENTIRE ISLAND. Unfortunately, the hotel enforces a policy that prevents the local population, fishermen, and other tourists from accessing its two private beaches. This restriction negatively impacts the local community, which relies on fishing and tourism for their livelihood. I witnessed two fishermen expressing that they were not allowed to fish or access the rocky shores of these beaches, which constitute a significant portion of the island. Over 400,000 tourists visit the island every year, and during the seven days I stayed here, I saw the hotel’s beach every day. I could count only two people using it across those seven days. What does the hotel expect to happen if all beaches are closed under similar exclusionary policies? Conversations with European tourists revealed their reluctance to recommend the island to friends due to these restrictions. If you're staying at the hotel, be aware that there are several other beaches, even more beautiful than the hotel's, that you will also be prevented from accessing. Con Dao has all the ingredients to become a standout destination: breathtaking landscapes, a rich history, and welcoming locals. Just be aware that by staying here, you are supporting and encouraging an outdated policy of restriction that harms the entire local population. Tourists don’t expect perfection, but they do expect fairness, accessibility, and respect for the natural beauty they came to enjoy.

This is the most thoughtful and beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at- the epitome of a luxury resort. The staff is so accommodating and put so much effort into making our stay comfortable from the moment we landed. When we exited the airports we were greeted by staff and taken straight to a sprinter van to the hotel. Upon arrival, each guest is assigned a staff member for their stay who assist you with whatever you need. We were assigned with Tu and she was incredible! She would text us throughout the day to let us know what activities were happening that day, booked our dinners at the hotel and spa treatments. If you’re looking for some real R&R this is the place! All rooms are chic bungalows dotted along 2km of their private beach and very quiet. The food was also outstanding- the best breakfast buffet I have ever seen + amazing restaurants on site. The spa and wellness center was also beautiful with a well curated program. I highly recommend staying here if you ever visit Con Dao!

just had a luxurious and relaxing five day stay in six senses con dao in vietnam. thoroughly recommend. a beautiful spot, wonderful beach, off shore islands make the views beautiful, fantastic food and service and they have cracked the trick of making luxury seem easy so it feels relaxed and (in the best way and i suspect strictly from the customer’s point of view!) laid back. vietnamese and international food excellent. villas comfortable - get either a beach front one or one near a path to the beach. new spa excellent and the treatments were all very good especially a deep tissue massage, in the most serene of surroundings. they have GEMs (guest experience managers) through whom you can book anything - we found this worked very well - our GEM Truc was excellent. As well as the spa staff, all the staff (like Liam and Lanah and too many others to list ) in the restaurants were excellent. we were there over New Year and the New Year party was great. Overall has converted us from Aman-is-best to also-Six Senses… for heat and luxury in (the european) winter in an authentic setting (only a hour from Ho Chi Minh City) can’t beat.
