Not what we expected

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Hotels, specially bathroom, very old fashion and rundown. Staff at reception extremly friendly and helpful, rest of staff unfriendly. Most of the sunchairs around the pool were in the direct sun, no help for umbrella to give shade, booking for dinner told us at 5 pm, we said no prefer 7 pm. They told us 8 pm which we didnt accept. When we came at 7 pm; the restaurant was almost empty. Room was overlooking the carpark, which was not nice and very noisy as well.

No bars open after Valentine’s Day Comcert

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We have been going to the resort since it opened many years ago and have had many memorable times there ,it is a beautiful venue. However after last nights Valentine’s Day concert we were gobsmacked that no bars were open after the concert which concluded at 9.30 As the Resort is on of the two major sponsors of the event I should have been a given the bars would be open There were several groups of people including hotel guests that turned up expecting some hospitality and were all extremely disappointed! The bar at the Alcove has always been open after the shows and has been well patronised as people have a couple of drinks while waiting for the traffic to disperse.

Not a very good all round experience

Arrived at JOONDALUP RESORT on 28th to 30th July Check in - great as allowed to check in at midday instead of 2pm Room - Organised a King suite (room 209) room was very dated with lots of dirty marks all over the carpets and furniture with lots of marks. Had a TV in living area which was just terrestrial channels and other TV in bedroom was a smart tv but was not workable as press remote control then TV may or may do something around 20 seconds after pushing the remote. Bars & Restaurants - Cafe closed, Kangaroo Bar not open on Tuesday & closed early at 7:30pm on Wednesday due to no air conditioning working in the hotel. Only place to eat was Alcove Restaurant which has a limited menu and is the same for lunch and dinner. No air-conditioning in hotel made it a terrible choice to sit. Alcove is where the breakfast is also and breakfast was decent choice but again too hot with no air conditioning working. Pool area - Great space and no issues with the area Major issues - Airconditioning not working and no apology from hotel at all. The temperature when I was there was always between 39c to 42c when I was there which air con is a must. My wife also paid £245 for a spa 90 minutes and it was far from relaxing in a room with no air conditioning Would not go back as not worth the money

Terrible Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Terrible restaurant waited 35 minutes from the time we sat down till we received our drinks the food was dreadful $28 for 3 oily scallops waited an hour for our food. Pork was still pink not cooked properly my husband didn’t eat it. We counted 3 staff servicing the whole resort including room service as the girl that served us was doing room service as we left. No aircon really hot and uncomfortable in the restaurant very overpriced and poor service we would never eat here again or recommend this restaurant.

Terrible experience

An absolutely terrible place. Save your money. Run down by a bad management from the different cultures. Noone should stay here. The receptionist and the management are totally unprofessional. The time and money i will never get back, and i could have stay somewhere else.
