Reviews for Biltmore Hotel

Great pre flight choice

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We used this hotel as pre flight overnight accommodation via Miami Intl. Was perfect for us for that purpose - great pool for a long swim, good food and restaurant service , and comfortable room . Convenient enough to airport , though time your transfer.

Loved our stay last year. Not so much this year.

Disappointing all around. This was our 2nd Christmas staying at the Biltmore over Christmas. It was becoming a bit of a tradition. Sadly, I think this may be our last year here. ROOM: We booked directly with the hotel but the reservations agent quoted us rates significantly higher than they had published on their website. She corrected this when I pointed it out and suggested we book a 2 queen suite (as opposed to individual rooms) and RAVED about the Venetian Suite. It sounded lovely. It was not. The room and balcony are very spacious, and the beds are comfortable. However, the balcony (the selling point) is fully enclosed with approx. 15-foot stucco walls. So, there is only one small window that gets any natural light, and the "view" from the room is a concrete wall that needs paint. Very gloomy. Further, the balcony needs a refresh. It was missing 1 (of 2) chairs at the dining table and had cables hanging all over, including some coming out of the walls. The tile floor was cracked all over and needed a good cleaning. SPA: I booked 2 50 minute massages. We LOVED our spa services last year. This year, My mom said hers was just OK. Mine wasn't great either. Mine included lots of talking and lasted 40 minutes instead of 50. It may have been fine if the massage wasn't $200+. FOOD: We had the 3 course Christmas Eve dinner at Fortuna. The service was fantastic. The food was good but not great. Room service breakfast came quickly, but they forgot the juice. The pastries weren't very fresh. STAFF: Most of the staff was very good and very pleasant. I'm sure it's not the best working on Christmas. So, thanks to most of the staff who were extremely pleasant!! However, when I brought up my dissatisfaction with the room to the front desk person, the response was, "it is an enclosed patio" (um, yep, I knew that) and "Maybe it just isn't on the side of the hotel where the sun is" (umm, what?) No discussion about changing rooms or even a "sorry you're disappointed" POOL: Huge and nicely appointed. There were very noisy kids running around the day I was there. This was not the case last year so I'm assuming it's not the norm. GOOD STUFF: The Biltmore is very, very pet-friendly. I appreciated that. The hotel common areas are beautiful from a historical perspective and done up very nicely for Christmas. CONCLUSION: Over 2 days, we spent several thousand dollars for just an OK (bordering on frustrating) experience. I expect something a little more special for a hotel billing itself (literally and figuratively) as a luxury property. SUGGESTION: If you are considering a stay, I'd skip the stay part and book elsewhere. You can visit the hotel and book a meal (the brunch buffet is fantastic) at Fortuna to check out the atmosphere.

Must do experience!

If you are in the area I highly recommend at least staying here one night! But several nights would be best. The place is just so charming and a true piece of history. There are several room options- something to please everyone. Several dining options. The pool is just phenomenal and also fairly clean. The brunch is delicious- highly recommend. The service is just fabulous everyone is very kind and attentive. We enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back.

We really enjoyed it being here again!

Even it was just a one night stay, we enjoyed it very much to be in the Biltmore hotel again. Check in was quick and friendly, so we felt welcome from the first minute. We had a beautiful room with a little balcony. Room was very clean and well maintained. We went for a light dinner to the Cascades at the pool, which was delicious. Our waiter was amazing.

Was recently there for a supplier Confrence - very impressed with the accommodations, cleanliness and most notable the friendly service and staff. Looking forward to my next trip to Miami/Biltmore in 2025. Hoping someday they might put in a hot tub.🤙
