Tresanton is a cluster of houses on the edge of St Mawes, one of the prettiest fishing villages in Cornwall. All rooms have views across the sea towards St Anthony’s lighthouse. Tresanton has 30 rooms and suites, a restaurant with large terraces, a room for private parties, a dogs’ bar and a private sailing boat. We love children and have a playroom and children’s garden. There is no muzak whatsoever at Tresanton only the sound of the waves and the occasional Sea Shanty.

We had a lovely lunch at this hotel on Tuesday, the food was excellent, so we decided to come again for an evening meal on the Thursday. We were greeted by Emma, who was so welcoming and friendly and took the time to speak with us. This hotel enjoys a beautiful setting and I would recommend a visit.

Another fabulous Easter break at this hotel. We stayed for four nights over Easter weekend and got the usual high standard of incredibly friendly service. The restaurant and terrace were wonderful experiences as ever. It is simply so relaxing to stay here. Everyone is made to feel like a regular guest which you will soon become.

Have often been to Endsleigh but this was our first trip to Tresanton, on the back of a 'Taste of Italy evening with Alex Polizzi'. From the first welcome at Reception, to our departure the following morning with Alex even helping my wife with our bags (due to my inability to organise it with reception) as I fetched the car and overdosed on the views in the process, it was a truly great experience. The hotel is lovely; well maintained, well appointed, brilliantly located, and run by a fantastic team of staff with intuitive and perceptive managers. We couldn't have asked for more, and nothing was too much trouble. The 'Taste of Italy' evening, hosted by Alex was a triumph. The table plan placed us on long tables where we were seated with other guests who we did not previously know (a good idea). Conversations flowed and not only did we have a great meal, supplied by efficient and smart waiters, Alex made a real effort to include everyone, both in the pre-dinner drinks and the dinner itself, delivering various personal and insightful speeches, and moving around the room to engage people. A not insignificant effort on her part whilst remaining charming, entertaining, and fun. Drinks on the terrace beforehand were a perfect 'set-up' for the evening and after a good night's sleep and enjoying the scene from our terrace, breakfast the following day was unhurried, delicious, and with a memorable view. It was good too to catch up with the people that we had met the night before, all also having had a great evening. I've run out of superlatives... a cracking night and a brilliant introduction to the hotel to which we will most certainly return.

The location is idyllic with gorgeous views of the beach below, across the water as far as the eye can see and Fraggles Rock right opposite. Beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable room with lovely touches and amenities (in fact ours was a 2-bedroom flat with full kitchen, terrace and lounge, which we loved). The facilities are immaculate, welcoming and totally charming. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the service attentive (whilst discreet) and the restaurant offers and delivers a really enticing menu. We were really lucky with the weather during our stay which allowed us to breakfast on the terrace on both days - that was truly priceless. We will 100% return and recommend.

Had a wonderful memorable lunch at the Tresanton Hotel with 3 friends. The restaurant decor has a lovely setting. Food was excellent with picturesque views of the sea. Lunch service was outstanding being attentive but not obtrusive. Its location is a convenient 5 minute walk from the Mawes ferry terminal.
