Savour your first glimpse of this majestic castle and its enchanting lake, as you pass through the castle gates. This was the ancestral home of the O’Briens of Dromoland who were the Kings of Thomond and whose lineage goes back 1,000 years to Brian Boru, the only High King of Ireland.

Stayed here 3 nights on Ireland trip and what an amazing place. Not a single thing was less than excellent, whether it’s dinner in restaurant, cocktail in bar, or just taking in this beautiful place. Would have liked to have golfed, course looked amazing, but cold and rain doesn’t suit my game. We did the falconry and it was an unforgettable experience.

Magnificent hotel in a huge beautiful landscape. Truly a castle where you can experience being treated like royalty. The room was cozy, clean with simple but elegant design and furnitures. Breakfast was bountiful. Love the freshly baked scones and the hot dishes that was cooked to perfection. Food choices was good.

Everything about this experience was luxurious but not stuffy. The castle, rooms and grounds were all beautiful, and everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. A great splurge for a special occasion. We enjoyed the lavish breakfast and dinner in the Earl of Thomond. A special thanks to Denis and John

Visited for a night but wish we'd stayed longer! From the moment we checked in to the time we departed we were truly wowed by the hospitality and hotel. The falconry excursion was a unique and incredible experience. Definitely book ahead for dinner at the Earl of Thomand restaurant, and grab a seat by the fireplace for drinks after.

This estate delivers on its 5 star service, activities and accommodations. Oh, and the food was the best during our two weeks in Ireland. We loved our afternoon with Clementine and falconry experience. Walks along with the myriad paths in the quiet countryside were special. The staff is top-notch and creates a friendly atmosphere even with our casual lifestyle. Nearby town of Ennis is worth a visit.
