our stay on sunday night 3/11/24 was fabulous . The room, the bed the bathroom all was faultless. Our breakfast was the best ive ever had in any hotel . All the staff were so helpful in everyway. no rush on us to leave. Gene the Concierge was so kind and helpful. The use of the bicycles to travel around muckross and the use of the vitality suite after checkout meant so much to us. We will be returning asap. Thank you all.

One year on from our wedding, we went back for our anniversary. Top class yet again. Had dinner in the Yew Tree this time around and it was very impressive. The hotel gives you everything. The spa is a huge highlight, it’s so relaxing. The decor of the hotel remains outstanding

Family of four along with a small dog, stayed last week for one night. Had resided in Central Killarney the previous night in another hotel. First of all, do not expect a 5 star experience at this (hotel). It is very much aimed at targeting US tourists with a couple of quid looking to experience southern Ireland. Decor is dated, building is modern externally which takes from the vibe of the general location. Internally the building lacks character and taste along with a false insenudo of being "another" Adare Manor. Modern but dated decor can be found everywhere! From the parking lot to the rooms. The staff are shockingly rude and arrogant. The staff at the Monks Lounge are seriously lacking in Irish hospitality. During this particular visit, I was questioned publically when leaving the lounge by the bar staff (that's what it is, a bar, VERY average one at that). I was asked to REPEAT my room number. Then asked to sign for my orders, which was no problem. Please bare in mind that I waited at the bar counter prior to leaving waiting for a staff member so I could designate my signature to the orders that I had made but the bar / till area was vacant. The waiter on duty made a scene when he decided to arrive and called me personally out in front of other guests. You must sign this etc. He then proceeded to call reception ( about 10 foot away this 'hotel' is tiny to ensure that A) my room number was valid and that I was a guest and B) that on check-in, the 'hotel' had debited my bank card by 50 euro. I was mortified and have never experienced this before at ANY establishment anywhere before. We stayed at the apartments as we had a pet with us. It was dated, dirty stained carpet on entrance, we has to sweep the apartment on arrival. It was dirty! Uncut grass externally, lack of lighting in the car park / walk to main building. I could go on. Just avoid at all costs. This is NOT a luxury 5 star hotel. They seem to use the natural setting of the national park to create a ' fantasy property' that is located within, it is not. All of the above information is accurate and true, I am currently in reciept of legal advice regarding the humiliating episode that the particular bar staff member put me though. Visit with caution.

My wife and I just returned from a 4-night stay at Muckross Park Hotel & Cloister Spa. This 5-star hotel lived up to its rating in every regard. The suite we stayed in was just beautiful and with the extra sitting area above the entrance, my wife commented that she felt like a princess. The Cloister Spa was exceptional and we enjoyed the service there on several days. All of the international staff - from the doormen, front desk to wait staff - were pleasant and helpful to any issue. We ate dinner at Blue Pool and Molly Darcys pub - 2 of 3 on-site resturants. The staff at the was especially helpful with the wine selection as we celebrated our anniversary one evening. The food was absolutely delicious at both places. The hotel is right across the street from walking paths, jaunting carts, and the Muckross House in Killarney National Park. All in all, we absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
