Third stay. Nowhere near as good as it was. Staff inattentive in the bar and served cava charging for champagne. Asked three times for extra pillows and eventually were told they had “run out”. Pity they shut the “pub”. The Sally gap was nowhere near as good- foot was average, service was terrible and the restaurant was overrun by screaming children. I booked the stay well ahead via my Bonvoy app as I get additional benefits due to my status. I felt I got a good deal for a “deluxe family room 2 adults and 2 children” bed and breakfast including a £50 dining voucher. Unfortunately, the breakfast was only included for one person. When I went to reception to ask about this when I had booked an offer for four people I was told that this is an issue that has arisen repeatedly with app bookings- my suggestion is that the hotel actually do something to fix the problem rather than just talking about it. A very rude receptionist also added “did you really think you had breakfast for everyone at that price?” -which was utterly unnecessary and patronising. I think if I book a room for two adults and two children that a five star hotel has a booking system which recognises that as four people. And staff who have basic manners.

We had a marvelous stay for a few days and were very sad to leave. As Titanium members we had lucky timing (traveling off season, midweek, while all the regular rooms were taken up by a conference/training group) and were upgraded to a fantastic suite. We enjoyed all the amenities - a wonderful breakfast, daily river walks, the lovely pool and spa, and even room service (which we rarely ever get but we just didn't want to leave our room one night). We walked over to tour the gardens at the house (which has good shopping including a nice food store and a garden center) and walked into the Village. The staff were all kind and helpful. I really want to return again! The Christmas decorations had just gone up, which are beautiful. Given the caliber of the hotel, its amenities, and its convenient location less than an hour from Dublin I believe the cost be be an excellent value.

I had an incredible facial in espa at powerscourt. This is not my first espa facial but I really wanted to try the new LED facial. My therapist Fatima was so professional and friendly. She talked me through the facial which then took an hour and included a wonderful massage and the new LED technology. My skin was glowing and continues to look better. Afterwards I spent an hour in the serenity room - just bliss.

From the moment we entered the impressive foyer, with its elegant furniture, warming fires and stunning floral displays, we felt like we’d arrived in paradise! The staff were so welcoming and attentive without overdoing it…the perfect balance! Our suite was magnificent, beautifully appointed with great attention to detail. Everything one would require was there and we appreciated the lovely touch of chocolate and fruit to mark our special occasion. We had a gorgeous view of the meticulously maintained gardens with the foliage in full autumnal glory. Our meal and drinks that evening in the Sally Gap bar served up the best of local produce and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. What a charming hotel. Thank you Powerscourt! We will return!
