Reviews for JW Marriott El Convento Cusco

100/100

We had a great time here. The location is great and the service was excellent! Their breakfast buffet had a great variety of food, and we were excited every morning. Even though the hotel is big, they greeted us by our last name every time. We were impressed! The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. 100/100!

Historic Elegance

This is a lovely hotel, beautifully appointed in a convenient location in Cusco, easy walk to Plaza Mayor and shops and restaurants. Rooms aren’t huge, but they are lovely and quiet. The staff is top notch and the breakfast buffet is incredible. Would definitely stay here again.

Love this hotel!

Staff were friendly and attentive, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. The oxygen-infused rooms were nice for dealing with the altitude. We loved the breakfast buffet each morning, which had a mix of classic American staples along with some traditional Peruvian foods to try. The hotel offers a range of authentic cultural activities like pisco sour classes and tours of the historic convent. While we were there, they had the women weavers from Chinchero in the courtyard, and we also got to meet the hotel's baby alpaca!

Excellent service and staff at the hotel. The hotel exceeded our expectations from the moment we checked in. Front desk staff were very attentive. Christian, Gijorgio and Jesus went above and beyond for making our stay wonderful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I applaud the housekeeping staff for there attention to detail and service. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Food quality was excellent. The breakfast service staff was very attentive. I would especially like to recognize Benedict who went above and beyond in his service. Thank you for providing us some extra snacks for our Rainbow Mountain tour. Other breakfast staff who provided excellent service Ruth, Hector, Freddy, Wilbert, Oscar, William, Claudia, Pedro and Diego. Bryan the egg cook also did a fabulous job. For excursions, the tour company available in the lobby, Sarah Trips, was very easy to work with. Pamela planned a fabulous trip for our family to Rainbow Mountain. The guide Cunta was excellent!! JW Marriott hotel and staff exceeding our expectations in making our stay wonderful. Thank you. Mary Casey

Excellent & amazing experience!

We stayed a few days at the JW Marriott El Convento hotel in Cusco. From the moment we entered we could see that the people who work there are very friendly and the service is excellent. Every person we asked was willing to help us. The buffet breakfast was delicious and very varied. My niece was affected by the altitude and the nurse stayed with us giving her oxygen until she felt better. A special thanks to Celeste Villafuertes who works at the front desk for her help and advice to make our trip to Cusco incredible.

One of the best hotels I've ever experienced. A hidden treasure blended with beauty and luxury with a modern lifestyle touch, tucked away in a city rich in culture.

Of the many fine attributes of the JW Marriott Cusco, the blending of historical architecture with modern comforts and high design is most unusual and perfectly executed. From the soft lighting to the rich dark woods and stone in the public areas, the understated atmosphere distinguishes itself as belonging uniquely to the Cusco property. And that holds true all the way to the lower levels where the lovely spa is intimately nestled. Not only was the staff properly warm, friendly and bi-lingual, but equally important highly skilled at their duties (which is surprisingly not always the case in fine hotels).
