The hotel is in need of a renovation - looks like it is stuck in the 1970s/1980s. Check-in was frustrating, as there were two front-desk employees at 7pm, operating extremely slow, with a line of about 12 people. The room was fine; however, I could not access the internet during my stay. This hotel is not representative of the premium Fairmont brand at all.

Very elegant and clean hotel. The staff were top notch and very attentive. Me and my co-worker had a flat tire in our agency vehicle and one of the staff offered to change the tire so that we could drive it to a tire store. Other staff that noticed it never offered but he did, I thought that was very gentlemen like and very courteous.

Stayed at The Fairmont while attending the Dallas Smokefest. Great time and place! One night the toilet kept "bubbling" like it was going to overflow, but never did. Was all fine by the time I got up for the day (found out from friends staying as well that there was a water pressure issue - they ended up with no water, so I was better off - things happen!) :-) I'd come back again, the place is beautiful. I would probably request a room not next to the elevator though because of the noise throughout the night. But again, as I said, I'd still come back and besides the minor things, I very much enjoyed my stay!

Nice atmosphere very pleasant staff. good space for relaxation the place has lots of amenity's gym and pool area if you don't like waking in the surrounding community you can get your steps in touring the hotel. I also like that the lobby area had a quite calm for reading or just relaxing.

Overall, the stay was alright. We stayed here for 5 days. The hotel was located near the museums, parks and good eating places. There was a weird smell on the linens and towels. Some towels smell either like food or cigarette smoke. PIllow smell like dog that I had to put a towel over it to use it. The room was not made up the first day that we had to call housekeeping for them to replace towels and make the room. The following days though they made up the room after that. If you use toilet amenities, coffee, tea, etc., you will have to request for them to replenish the stock. It seems like staff will need a checklist on what to replenish each time they make up the room so as not to forget what is lacking. The toilet and bath did not have a ventilation fan for odor and steam after use. It would be nice to have a mocrowave oven in the room to heat food or drinks. The ice maker on the 16th floor of the North tower was not working the entire time we were there. Staff that made up the room did not speak any English so it was difficult to communicate what we needed. Staff gave us free boxed drinking water and ice the 2nd & 3rd nights we were there. Love the smell of their La Labo shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, and lotion. The lobby smell great and was very clean. Love the gift shop. Check in and out was easy and staff were very helpful.
