Set in the heart of a burgeoning downtown, adjacent to the original Neiman Marcus and within walking distance of the internationally acclaimed Dallas Arts District, The Joule – part of the LVX collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts – is, much like its name, a symbol of energy "exactly unlike any other" in Dallas, Texas. A visual masterpiece that combines historical architecture and sleek design, the hotel occupies the revitalized Dallas National Bank building, and stands apart from the rest boasting unparalleled service, five-star accommodations, and a breathtakingly urbane art gallery vibe. At The Joule every detail is worthy to be framed, from the custom décor and Italian woodwork to the cool, black Merbau wooden floors in the 129-opulent rooms and suites. In addition to inspiring art and design, each room provides the comforts of home with a touch of luxury, including plush down comforters, bedside reading lamps, and E-SPA bath amenities in the pristine polished granite and glass bathrooms. At The Joule your vacation vision is just part of the masterpiece.

Valarian was incredible! Such a kind and welcoming presence after a long day. He really started my stay off on the right note with arranging valet, helping me with my bags, etc. Cannot say enough great things about him! Of course, The Joule is lovely and the rooms are cozy and well appointed. The service is what makes it special though!

I stayed at The Joule during my visit to Dallas for Jake Paul’s boxing match against Mike Tyson, which brought over 80,000 people to AT&T Stadium. Unfortunately, my experience at the hotel was one of the worst I’ve had, and it left me deeply dissatisfied. The SPA amenities (pool + sauna) are not accessible or available to hotel guests on weekends (lol), among a platitude of other issues. Check-In Nightmare: Despite having a confirmed reservation through a third-party site, the front desk staff (Nick) refused to check me in promptly. I was made to wait 30 minutes, with no assistance offered for my bags. Only after I called the reservation company and waited another 20 minutes was I finally checked in. There were no apologies—just excuses. From the moment I arrived, I did not feel welcome. Room Service Chaos: Later that evening, I tried to place a room service order. Initially, the front desk couldn’t even locate my reservation by my last name. After resolving that, I was given conflicting instructions on where I could order food from—first being told I could order from two restaurants, then being told I could only order from one and would need to call the other directly. After multiple calls, delays, and confusion, my order was finally placed. The process took 25 minutes and four phone calls for something as simple as room service. Spa Disappointment: The next morning, I was excited to use the sauna and pool at the spa, only to find out that access is restricted on weekends unless you book a spa service. Unfortunately, all the services were fully booked. Advertising spa amenities that are effectively inaccessible is misleading and disappointing. Rude and Unhelpful Staff: Throughout my stay, Nick at the front desk was dismissive and unprofessional. When I raised concerns about the spa, he brushed me off with, “We will address it,” but nothing was done. Later, when my key card stopped working, Nick acted as though he didn’t recognize me and insisted on seeing my ID, eventually calling security to escort me to my own room. Overall Experience This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The service at The Joule is far below what I expect from a hotel of its caliber. The poor service, rude staff, and lack of access to advertised amenities made for an extremely frustrating stay. I cannot recommend The Joule to anyone, especially if you’re visiting Dallas for a special occasion. Bottom Line: Save your money and stay elsewhere. Dallas has many better options that understand how to treat guests with respect and professionalism.

This was an overall amazing experience from beginning to end! The art in this hotel is breathtaking and the staff was more than eager to tell me about it. My room was beautiful and the view was well worth all of it. Enjoyed dinner at Sassetta and the Italian Salad was an awesome blend of sweet while blended with some great olives. Over all this stay was elegant and just so comfortable. Will absolutely be coming back! Try the Coffee at Weekend Coffee!!!

The staff is what makes this five star property a gem. The rooms are beautifully decorated with all of the right touches and a great design for easy and efficient movement. The lobby is innovative in its design and energizing. The coffee shop and restaurant offered delicious high-quality menu options. The staff continually goes above and beyond from the valets through Front Desk, maintenance, banquet staff and housekeeping. This was my fourth stay and every time I enjoy my stay even more. I highly recommend The Joule for anyone staying in the city.

Was looking forward to enjoying a day at the Joule, as a Dallas local but having never visited before. I had 4 hours of spa treatments booked and was looking forward to arriving early to use the pool and have lunch. Upon arrival, I asked the front desk how to get to the pool. They looked at me shocked I would even ask and said the pool was for hotel guests only. Now mind you, this was a Tuesday morning. Had it been a packed Saturday, I understand that priority would go to hotel guests. But given I was spending MORE at the spa than their room rates, I was shocked they refused to let me upstairs, even to have lunch and drinks! I visit hotel spas all the time and have never been turned away from using the facilities. Word of advice to Joule management—you often only get one shot to make a lifelong customer. I would have likely made this my spa of choice going forward and tried the restaurants and maybe even done a few staycations. It costs nothing to make an impression and let a high paying spa customer use the pool on a day when the hotel is empty (which is was btw—not a soul in the lobby or either of the lobby restaurants at lunch time).
