My wife and I were in Dallas for just one night and decided to splurge on The Mansion. I had heard good things and the experience exceeded my expectations. Everyone we encountered was professional and friendly. The best thing was that as part of the American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts program they gave us a free upgrade to the Penthouse Suite. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and this one was, by far the nicest. The room was decorated and lighted very tastefully and warmly. I think the sheer size of the suite was as large as the small starter home we had when we married over 40 years ago. At dinner we asked about the history of the mansion and one of the staff showed us around and told us what each room had originally been used for and how many of the decorations had been brought over from Europe and installed by craftsmen. Our stay was very enjoyable. I know we won’t always get the Penthouse Suite but I’m sure we would also enjoy the other rooms just as much. I look forward to returning.

Hard to review this hotel as it seems to be such an iconic hotel for the area. What's not to like... The rooms are fabulous. Huge. Very well appointed. The staff is world class from the front desk to the room service team to the restaurant staff. Housekeeping team is top-notch. The bar and restaurant on-site are what you'd expect. Gracious. Welcoming. Professional. There's champagne and caviar to order. On the other hand, I love their tortilla soup as well. There's a cat with a heated cat-house out front.

One of my favorite hotels in Dallas. The rooms are lovely and spacious and are decorated with backlit shelves and books. The mansion is the picture of southern hospitality - the staff is friendly and accommodating, making every interaction an absolute pleasure.

Great room, excellent service from the staff and wonderful amenities. This hotel is where I would stay in when I travel to Dallas next! The restaurant has a pricey set menu course for dinner, so you would need to order in, in case you want to eat something light, but other than that, you can't find any fault with this place.

A very comfortable hotel, quiet (only exception is when planes take off from the Love Field airport but it’s not so frequent and only during daytime), with large cozy rooms and fantastic beds. A/C totally under user’s control, which is a big plus for us European people. Professional staff, good breakfast (although a bit too expensive for what it is).
