Reviews for Grand Hyatt Denver

Mediocre

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We spent a couple of nights here on a weekend before our road trip around Colorado/Wyoming. The hotel is 20-25 minutes walking distance to Union Station and Coors Field (we were also here for a Green Day concert) once you've dodged all the junkies that seem to be everywhere. There's not a huge amount of eating options in the vicinity and the hotel offerings are pretty poor. Staff at check-in were friendly and helpful with answering questions and the room itself was pretty generic with a good sized safe, two double beds and appalling coffee. The bathroom was on the small size but everything worked ok. The swimming pool felt a bit tired but it was ok in short bursts. The price of alcoholic drinks and the valet parking was extortionate but that seems to be par for the course with city hotels these days. There's plenty of hotel choice in Denver some of which will be better than this and some of which won't be. We booked using points but if I had to pay cash for the prices they were charging I would think long and hard about it.

OK but not great

Hotel is clean and the room was nice, but mediocre food and beverage offerings. Staff was helpful and pleasant but the lack of a real restaurant hurts this venue. Hotel needs a fresh look, as it is too dark on the inside lobby and check in area, and the room floor need a more modern look. Did not meet our expectation as a 4-star hotel.

The Best Hotel to Stat in Denver

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We spent Thanksgiving week (5 days) and it was our best hotel experience to date! We travel extensively as a family and for business as well. The customer service is exceptional from every single employee we came across! We loved the activities, the amenities, and the breakfast buffet is amazing! Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable! We did need humidifiers as the air is super dry in Colorado and do expect noise from the traffic as their are cars that like to rev their cars passing by. Self parking is the easiest and most convenient to go in and out. Lastly, we loved the wait staff at the restaurant! Andrew was our favorite to connect with as he provided such as excellent service during our 5 day stay.

Good hotel downtown

Nice enough, not luxury and not budget. Good business hotel, with very good location near lots of downtown places/attractions. I was at the Grand Hyatt Denver for business and would stay there again. Did not get to use many of the services other than walking through the lobby and use the elevator to get to my room.

Weekend stay

Great location and reasonably priced. Staff were helpful. We went for the breakfast buffet option which was okay. We ate out for all other meals as lots of options within walking distance. We also arranged our own parking near by which was more affordable.
