Pretty great. I've been trying to think of how to best describe it. I was on a flyer website and they said it was the best hard product that they had ever been to for Hyatt (which I think means like the feel and interior). I think sumptuous maybe best captures it. I was in one of the corner rooms and there was so much that was great about it. I'm terrible with words for design but the interior was like maybe modern mid-century with like wood and stone and a great feel. I thought it had a nicer feel than the two Park Hyatts I've been to. They had a little Victrola radio that when I turned it played classical music which gave it such a great feel. The floor to ceiling windows are just incredible. I am always a huge fan of nespresso machines in the room. Overall, it's the kind of room you just want to hang out in and feel rich- and it's very distinctive which I like a lot. Minor-and I mean minor- complaints. The nespresso machine isn't like plugged and you have to find where it goes? It's the desk outlet which I found out later but it took me a bit as you have to carry it over there. Also the desk could have been lit a little better lit. It's in the far interior where you enter the room and the lighting was not good there even with the small desk light. The hotel is also in a great location. I was at a conference and it was an easy walk to the convention center- I actually stayed here because I didn't want the more convention vibe but still have easy access. It's a great walk through the most interesting part of downtown Denver (Lodo I think it's called- I have no idea what that stands for though). Overall if you are trying to decide if it's worth it for a little extra, particularly compared to the other Hyatt options, I think the answer is definitely yes. I had been to the Grand Hyatt before and it was like nice enough but this is a whole different level and feel.

My husband and I visited the Thompson Denver in Feb and had a great experience. The look of the hotel was very nice, the location was very walkable to just about everything we wanted to do in the city during our stay and the staff was very friendly.

The Thompson Denver is a beautiful hotel with luxury rooms and views of downtown. We were well taken care of on our recent stay and will be back. Everything about our stay was impeccable and better than expected. We also enjoyed the DJ and brunch at Chez Maggy. I highly recommend the chilaquiles.

Great experience, friendly professional employees, perfect location near a mix of both upscale restaurants and sports bars. Extremely comfortable bed and extremely clean room with ample amenities. We are going back to Denver this weekend and going back to the Thompson!

To be honest, the hotel SHOULD be a 6 in ratings, but it just isn't. It should have been ranked as a '3', but I didn't have the heart to do it. The lobby, and the rooms are beautiful. Luxurious yet comfortable. I loved the interior finishes throughout. The location is perfect. I was in a small suite, and it was stunning. That being said, it was very obvious that the lavatory (sink) in the bath had not been touched...although everything else appeared SPOTLESS. Simple mistake, but it shouldn't happen. Again...it was OBVIOUS! The thermostat was too complicated for hotel room. Im no idiot, but it was ridiculous. I left my temp 'as is'....a bit cold. Where they really lost me was in the restaurant with regard to service. AWFUL! I had my GLOBALIST breakfast, so it was complimentary...and i shouldn't complain. Nonetheless the service was bad. Am in the only person to have a couple cups of coffee in the morning? There were 5 tables the morning I was there, and there was a host, a waiter, and a support person. Seems like an appropriate number of people for good service..... I was poured coffee and my diet coke after sitting a few minutes. I ordered a few minutes later and my coffee cup was empty. He didnt notice, and didnt offer to refill. When my order was delivered (support person) it was still empty. Didn't notice again. I finally asked for more when my meal was complete. During the meal, I had to ask for salt and pepper. (Shouldn't that be assumed, or am I the only person to utilize these for eggs?). Furthermore, I ordered an english muffin and had to ask for butter/jam. It was served dry.... You shouldn't have to request these items, and refills should be part of the morning ritual. I feel a bit guilty writing this, but it was SO bad. Such a beautiful restaurant....the food was good. I have better service at a Waffle House! I usually tip 25%, but 20% was automatically added to the check....and i left 'as is'. Im not sure it was worth that, but i would never go below that. Lastly, the hotel has engaged a new woke CASHLESS policy. Now, i travel 200+ nights in hotels for 2 decades. I put EVERYTHING on a card. I get that. I also like to TIP the people that have shown good service, and I like cash to do so. I usually have plenty of $5's / $10's but on this trip i only had $100 dollar bills. I wanted to break one. NO ONE IN THE HOTEL has a cash drawer. NO ONE! Does this new 'woke' policy help the customer? NOT AT ALL. This only simplifies matters for management. It prevents loss. It eliminates a bit of work for someone behind the front desk. It does NOT serve the customer in any way. It is also a loss for their staff. It was suggested that i go to the bar next door to get change. NO! Shame on your, Hyatt for allowing this. You're one of the best in the industry....you know better!
