The Henderson Beach Resort & Spa

We visited Henderson Beach Resort last Thanksgiving to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Ms. Sharmaine, the staff member who greeted us, was incredibly kind and welcoming. We would love to meet her again during our next visit. However, we had a few issues during our stay. The heating system in our room was broken, which made things uncomfortable, and we had to deal with ants for the entire 3-day, 2-night stay. The food we brought back from the restaurant became infested with ants, and we had to throw it all away. When we reported the issue, all we received was ant spray with instructions to use it ourselves, but no apologies or compensation were offered. Even on the last day, the ants kept coming, and it was extremely frustrating for us.

My husband and I stayed here in a room overlooking the gorgeous Emerald coastline for our Honeymoon. Could not have picked a better spot. Complimentary, all-you-can-drink Starbucks coffee 24/7 on *every floor* which was huge for me since coffee is my emotional support beverage of choice. Loved being there during off season! So quiet and calm. Even with construction taking place near the south edge of the pool area, pools were fantastic. Can’t expect them to do their construction during the busy season, just went with the flow (literally, there’s a lazy river!). There’s also special access to the beach for Henderson guests and cute cafe down the road. Now the staff! So wonderful, so accommodating. If we had even the slightest problem with literally anything, they solved it. They were so sweet sending up a charcuterie board and a s’mores kit for us newlyweds (it was going to be wine but I don’t drink. See? Problem solvers!) Charmaine, Angela, Mia and Bianca were who we interacted with and I would come here again over the hospitality alone. My husband agrees, and he doesn’t like going back to the same spot more than once. Restaurants and bars were also top notch. Great atmospheres, great service, even great mocktails. Definitely check out the rooftop bar while you’re there. I very impatiently await my next trip to Destin!

We ve been to Henderson Resort several times before an we really enjoyed but our last trip would be the last. At first they had a construction going on even on Thanksgiving Day. It was very noisy and workers on the roof screaming in Spanish language all day long. Adult pool was overtaken by screaming children and even 2-3 year old was sitting in jacuzzi wearing pampers. There was no coffee or tea in a lobby after 10 am ( it’s says 24 hours service) . The table in a room is really worn and shaking and Tv did not work , we had to call technician, he fixed next day. To me once high end hotel going down the hill . I did not feel any luxury. Bartender at the bar was eating his dinner by the bar while serving guests..

Spent four days at the Henderson and experienced a wonderful time. The staff is extremely hospitable, especially Rron, the bartender at the hotel lobby who is a wealth of information. The three pools were well attended by staff for drinks and food. Close to area restaurants and bars and across the street from the beach. The room was well appointed with great sunset views from our balcony. Would definitely stay at this top rated resort again.

We stayed 7 nights at this beautiful beach resort. We loved our ocean view balcony room on 2 nd floor. Across from our room was a Starbucks coffee room that also offered chi tea, water & sparkling water. We enjoyed the dining & ate all our meals at the resort as there were plenty of options to chose from. Egxon was our waiter for most of the restaurant dining & he gave us good service & wonderful recommendations to make our experience the best. All the employees at this resort were so kind & helpful & we were always greeted with a smile. I even received text messages throughout our stay to offer assistance if needed. Susan, the concierge arranged for my husband to have special water for his cpap machine since we didn’t have a car. Colleen at the rooftop bar was amazing in making us feel welcomed every evening while we enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets! She even brought me a blanket to stay warm by the fire while enjoying the beautiful evening. The pools were lovely but we didn’t get in. The lazy river pool was heated. The pool bar was wonderful & the nice walk area to the beach was easy. The workout gym was top notch with excellent machines, weights, video workouts, etc. Everything about the place is high quality & now with the beautiful Christmas decorations in place, it’s magical! The beach is so amazing walking on the beautiful white powdery sand, the beach attendant set up our chairs & umbrella for us. We had a great time & look forward to returning soon!
