The Henderson Beach Resort & Spa

We had the best time at this resort. Beautiful rooms and amenities. What stood out the most was our bartender Nique (Nikki) at Horizons bar. She was incredibly welcoming and made us feel as if we were at home. It was too bad we only had her the last night of Our stay! Unfortunately, The bartender the first few nights was pretty rude and unwelcoming . If Nique was there all weekend, we would have stayed a little longer each night.

Excellent time at the Henderson Beach Resort. Great restaurants and bars right on the property. The beach is beautiful and the beach manager Matt was super nice and helpful! The rooftop bar is especially unique and has amazing view of the Gulf of America. The bed was so so comfortable and the amenities are top notch.

Yes, Hotel is wonderful, except: No toilet paper was left (we were done to a partial roll, got another one by interrupting the housekeeper (after our room was cleaned). No towels left on a different day. When checking in we asked to go over any additional fees and have them explained, yet we were still charged over $350 MORE than they stated. We asked at check in for specifics so we would have no surprise charges, and they insured us of all additional charges, yet over $350 more than they explained. We did not eat/drink anything in the room including the water or coffee, and we used the self parking (that fee was explained to us). WHY ADDITIONAL FEES THAT WERE NOT EXPLAINED. Hotel /resorts have got to be held more accountable. There was no water in the pool (it was January as well as, the pool area was under construction and had yellow caution tape all around), so obvisously the extra resort fee should be adjusted during months of construction and or pool not being maintained during off season months. I pay resort fee for a feature not even available? Although we like the room (did not eat at resort), I would not pay the amount I did again with all the extra FEES. Especially since we asked to have any fees explained PRIOR to checking in. Seems like ALL FEES SHOULD BE EASILY SEEN AND EXPLAINED BEFORE CHARGING YOUR GUESTS. Why would we even ask if we just wanted you to tack on an additional $350 that we are unaware what it is for?

The resort was absolutely beautiful. Very clean, the rooms are spacious and very well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the view is beautiful considering it’s not right off the beach. We ate at 2 restaurants on property and the food was excellent! We were a large party of 12 from ND on business vacation, we were a handful but the staff was as remarkable as the service. Mary was our server, she was for the entire restaurant and she was THE BEST!!! Our orders were 100% accurate, drinks never went dry, so attentive and the most friendly person. With all she had going on she still took a minute to answer questions about the property amenities, off property things to do and see, and still took care of the other patrons. Always had a smile on her face and was so kind. Never stopped moving for a second! My husband and I travel a lot to similar properties and Mary made this trip unforgettable.

Colleen and Hollie treated us as though we were the only group in the bar! Great service, always cheerful and answered all our questions! Btw the food was delicious! Thank you kitchen staff!! The hot crab and lobster were delicious! You guys rock!!
