Received good services especially from your staff and to mention one purity who is upto to her task she does it diligently and with passion I congratulate her effort she should be given other roles to offer other staff ideas on enhancing customer service

Our stay at Diani Reef was wonderful! We especially appreciated the room upgrade with stunning views of the ocean, delicious buffet , great pool and beautiful architecture all around. Our stay was made more special by the warm and friendly staff right from the reception and guest relations, the ever smiling and ready to help waiters, the lifeguard at the pool area.. Special mention to Purity, David, Collins and Charles. Asanteni Sana for your warm hospitality. It truly was an amazing and memorable stay and we can't wait to be back!

Wonderful Stay My mother and I had an absolutely amazing stay at Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa in Kenya! From the warm welcome at check-in to our last day, we felt completely pampered. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful—always with a smile and ready to accommodate any request. The rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated in an African style, offering a lovely view. While we couldn’t see the ocean directly, the balcony and scenery were still beautiful, and we truly enjoyed sitting outside for an hour or two in the evenings after the beach. You just have to be careful with the monkeys—they have absolutely no fear of humans and won’t hesitate to enter rooms and steal belongings! The bathroom, and actually the entire resort, is a bit outdated, but that didn’t bother us at all. You don’t spend much time in the room anyway, and everything was clean—no dirt, no mold. It’s definitely not a five-star hotel, but it has its own unique charm, and for us, it was simply perfect. The Restaurant – A True Highlight! The food was outstanding—a perfect mix of local and international cuisine. As a vegan, I had more than enough options every single day, which was truly fantastic! A Small Issue – Reserved Beach Loungers One downside was the availability of beach loungers. Many were already reserved with towels before 8 AM every day, making it difficult for non-regular guests to find a free one after breakfast. The hotel should ensure that loungers are only occupied when the towel kiosk officially opens to make it fair for all guests. Exceptional Staff Members Some employees made our stay even more special: Ibrahim Washira & Bakari (DJ) from the animation team – From day one, they made me feel so welcome! As a young woman, I always felt safe at the beach with them, which is very important. They also introduced me to various activities like tennis, which they prepared with great care. Bakari is a fantastic DJ, and Washira is such an empathetic and funny person—you can always count on him for a good laugh! These two are absolute hidden gems, and honestly, one of the reasons we have already booked our stay for next year—I can’t wait to see them again! Centrine from the restaurant – She reserved our table every single night and always had our wine ready. She is truly the sweetest and most wonderful waitress we’ve ever had anywhere! Solomon from the Beach Bar – He put a smile on our faces every single day! I really hope the hotel keeps these amazing people because, in the end, it’s the people that make a vacation truly unforgettable! The hotel’s location is perfect for a beach vacation, with many great excursions nearby. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable time in Kenya. First let me say the staff are very pleasant and all go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. I know you are waiting for the but, yes 3 stars. The hotel is tired! Our room whilst clean and reasonably comfortable had several faults. The small fridge didn’t work and had to be replaced. The sliding wardrobe doors which the staff member showing us to our room said needed to be adjusted, weren’t until day 4 when they jammed and were then reported to be fixed. The toaster at breakfast gave one of us an electric shock and was taken away. Half an hour later it was back and working. The worst fault was the shower. After the first use the bathroom floor was flooded! The drain was actually higher than the floor which sloped away from it. We solved the problem by constantly using our feet to squeegee the water up and over the drain, and using two towels banked along the ridged floor tiles to form a barrier. There were always a little hiccough, at breakfast one morning no teaspoons set out, on another an empty jar of honey set out before anyone had eaten, another morning no side plates laid out on any of the tables, on another no teabags in the box. All small details and all fixed by very willing staff but all easily avoided. It’s the little things that make the difference. The hotel had stopped supplying alcohol free Heineken, when I asked for it I was told they would get it in, and assured me it would be available the next day 6 days later when we left and I still hadn’t had one!
