Amazing Stay – Highly Recommended!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The rooms were incredibly clean, thanks to Rendi, who did an excellent job – many thanks! The food was always delicious, and the breakfast was simply amazing. The location is perfect, with beautiful beaches and a unique natural landscape. A part of the island remains undeveloped, making it ideal for peaceful walks in nature. Overall, a wonderful experience – we will definitely be back!

Not worth the luxury price

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Luxury Price I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights, expecting a luxury experience, but was sorely disappointed. The only available room I was checked into had a terrible smell, and the only alternative required an extra charge despite which is unacceptable for a high-end establishment. To make matters worse, the hotel hosted a “last minute” wedding without informing guests in advance, thats two out of the three restaurants we’re not available to dine in. Limited dining options and an unpleasant room made for a frustrating stay in addition to waiting a hour for the main & eventually cancelling due to the wait. For the price, I expected much better service and transparency. Would not return.

Great kids club

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

The kids club was great. Zainab was very attentive and playful with the kids. She was not only friendly but also incredibly engaging with the kids. She organized fun activities, games, and even a mini arts and crafts session that our children absolutely loved. It was clear that she genuinely enjoy working with kids and have a natural ability to connect with them.

3.5 star experience at 5 star prices.

This is our second time at Anantara. What brought us back as a family is the peaceful atmosphere in a central location that Anantara brings. That hasn’t changed but some of it has - and most not for the better. The weaknesses with Ananatara come down to poor property management. Whether this is at the corporare or local level, I’m not sure. Let me start with what is really good about this place. Peacefulness. This place is truly tranquility in the middle of a Mecca. Second is the staff. Everyone you meet is kind and helpful. Some of the people who were particularly special were Arve, Dawi, Shanaka, and Akash - the chef at Qarum. Third, is the food. Everything we ate was outstanding. Better than the previous time. And lastly, the guests are super diverse: from every corner of the world. That was cool. And as for the not such good things, there are big and small things. Here are some big ones: the property feels run down. For example, the floor in the salon was literally falling apart. And the vent in the game room came loose and hit my daughter in the face. The pool table there is also falling apart. And there are missing pieces for the games in the kids club. As I mentioned, the food was great. But I there were little parts of the restaurants that were annoying. For example, the timing of the service was horrendous and unpredictable. And at breakfast, the attention to detail was missing. For example, the bottle labeled “maple syrup” was definitely not real maple syrup. And I ordered a fresh ginger tea (which was on the menu). I got a big chunk of ginger in hot water… My husband and I concluded that one of the problems with this resort is that they don’t really define their audience. we couldn’t tell who they were catering to. Would we return? Not sure…. And BTW - I find it suspicious when there are so many 5* ratings by people who have 1 contribution on trip advisor…
