Embark on a nomadic journey of rediscovery within intertwining corridors and courtyards in this address built from the inspiration of the traditional Arabic fort. Sensations will be heightened as the desert dunes’ sheer magnitude and constant shifting captivates imagination. Enjoy peaceful seclusion and efficiency altogether as we are located only 45 minutes from Dubai’s city center, and in close proximity to off-site attractions like the Al Qudra man-made lakes and scenic cycling and camping spots. Being within the Al Marmoom Reserve, it’s also not uncommon to catch the abundance of native fauna wandering in the sand. The beloved Bab Al Shams resort perseveres as the gateway to the Sun and as part of the Rare Finds collection, a series of hospitality addresses bringing forward the essence of a place and promising soulful experiences.

Pigeons spoilt the experience . Nesting on window meant broken sleep, also pigeons all over the pool . Reported to manager and he said this was part of the desert experience . I will camp in Trafalgar Square next year for the ‘desert experience’

We went for iftar at the Hadeerah restaurant. We go every year like a ritual and what amazing vibes, food, service, music and best of all great service. Sabri and Yaseer were hosting us. Made us so comfortable and took care of us through out our time there. Beautiful restaurant with excellent service.

Resort is lovely, check-in let it down for us, as early morning 3am, after long drive and and no water offered, we had to ask for. We were asked to sit and wait when staff on the phone. Somedays breakfadt a but unorganised with coach parties. Overall a great time, just little tweaks make a difference to customer experience.

Truly amazing! Our stay at Bab Al Shams was wonderful. The architecture and design emphasize the surrounding desert landscape. The rooms are impeccable, the food in all the restaurants is delicious, the amenities including the spa are a perfect mix of fun and relaxation, and the staff are so welcoming and professional. Special shout outs to Sewwandi in the activities centre, Saiful at the pool, and our wildman 4x4 driver Ismail. The Assistant Manager Concierge Remy was incredibly helpful in making our stay special. Well done all around!

Wonderful stay in a really peaceful luxurious venue. The staff were super friendly and so kind to our toddler! Umar took us on a fantastic stable and camel farm tour which our little boy loved. The staff at breakfast were superb and we felt thoroughly spoilt! The pool staff team were fantastic. The staff were really helpful and accommodating and we had a memorable three night stay. Highly recommend.
