My first at the Ritz Carlton Dubai , check in was quick and my room was spacious and clean with beautiful views of the museum , there is a indoor pool at the hotel , hotel is in a good location only 15 mins from the airport, staff are friendly around lobby especially all the guys at the entrance

After staying in almost every Ritz Carlton and think we just property in the world, I have to say that this is unfortunately, one of the worst experiences that I’ve had. I assumed this would be the perfect hotel for the businessman traveler like myself. Even before arriving from New York, I had been contacting the hotel to confirm my reservation and room category and it was an impossible communication to task. When I arrive to Abu Dhabi, I asked the St Regis to take care of it because I thought they would be able to do it better in a local way but even they were absolutely exasperated having contacted the hotel 17 times Finally, I arrived at the hotel right before I had to go to a meeting, assuming that things would go smoothly because it is a Ritz-Carlton property. The Bellman took my items from the driver’s car trunk, and I went up to the room with my keepall bag. After an hour, multiple phone calls and conversation with different people. They were unable to trace my luggage and kept asking me if I had different room numbers, and they would check different rooms. Ultimately, making me understand that they have completely lost my luggage for over an hour, which made me late to my meeting by an hour because I had to change into my suit which they had. The worst part so far has been that I had refrigerated medication that I brought all the way from New York. That is vital for me to take. It was in a cooler in the car. I took a photograph of the cooler right before they loaded it on the luggage cart. They assured me last night and this morning at 5 AM that they would check cameras to find it and now they are taking no responsibility Even though I have photographic evidence and it’s very clear that they took all my luggage to the wrong places for an hour I’m disappointed that no superior intervention. First of all the hotel misplaces your expensive belongings even for an hour that should be enough for them to apologize and try to make amends but to lose vital medication is even more shocking Without offering any kind of solution It’s shocking for a property that should be a high level of luxury. to top it off I entered the suite that reeks of cigarette smoke when it was clear that my room should be a non-smoking category and I didn’t even receive a response about it at this point, I’m not even sure what to expect for the rest of my day, but I’m very very disappointed

The reception staff were extremely not customer oriented . They were treating the VIP clients in a very bad way . You have to be careful about what they tell you and the credibility is zero . I do not recommend this hotel full stop. I was insulted by Abdulkareem the front office staff and that is not common in any five star hotel
