Reviews for The Gibson Hotel

Could be better but not the worst

You might be hungry after your dinner so bring snacks. My curry was served on a cold plate. Very small portion of rice. No naan bread etc. My husband said after his 32e steak that he'd eat that again as he still hungry. Bathrooms dirty especially the disabled. Pillows at night were too hard, I had to use a cushion from the chair in the room to sleep on. Doors of bedrooms slam very loud when people leaving in the morning. Breakfast was superb

Very nice hotel in a great part of central Dublin!

We stayed at the Gibson on two separate nights at the beginning and the end of our visit. We were assisted by your front desk clerk Gerry. He was friendly, sweet, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His smile is contagious! When we returned a week later he greeted us by name as we walked into the hotel and treated us as though we were old friends. The hotel itself is lovely, clean, and well situated in Dublin. The experience overall was top notch due to that and Gerry. Thank you!

Nice staff

Stopped at the Gibson for a quick visit on Saturday before the Gabrielle concert. Had buttermilk chicken which was really nice. I got mine plain which was no problem. Staff were very nice.. especially a guy called Edwardson? from Brazil. Very pleasant. Will return again!

No air con

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Aesthetically pleasing and on trend but got very little sleep. Air con did not work. Reported it round 1am, offered room on another floor, took fan instead. Even with window wide open and fan on, room was 22.8°C. Offered discount on next booking at checkout but don't think I'll be back. Glad to be home now but absolutely wrecked. Wouldn't recommend.

Great stay.

Just came back after 6 nights on this great hotel and we loved our stay.We stayed on the 6 floor in a lovely room with big balcony. The staff is amazing and Patrick on the bar area are great and so are all the others,we both went there for a drink and for Pizza and it is good. There is a great smoking area on the 3 floor. We went on a concert in the 3 Arena and it was so nice just walk over to the hotel after just 2 min away.If you want to go down town the dram is just out side the hotel and it takes about 10 min. Great stay thanks to all the staff.
