Gracefully created from four restored Georgian townhouses, The Merrion is an historic retreat in the heart of Dublin. Only a tiny brass nameplate marks the hotel's unassuming brick exterior, but inside, marble floors and columns and ornate rococo plasterwork ceilings show off the grand style of 18th century Ireland. Each element of the hotel inspires admiration--from the bedrooms adorned with Irish fabrics and antiques to Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud to the soothing ambience of Tethra Spa. Take time to enjoy the notable works of 19th and 20th century art, considered to be one of the most important private collections in Ireland.

Very comfortable hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. I stayed for two nights and had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant - the Garden Room. Well sourced, local produce - the soda bread is a must. The bed was extremely comfortable with high quality linen.

Very beautiful hotel with extremely professional and friendly staff. The kind of service many hotels try to give but only a small number really can. Perfect from welcome to departure. I travel a lot, this was one of my best experiences. (Upgraded) room was perfect, as was breakfast, meeting facilities etc. And everywhere this very friendly staff to support and welcome you. Perfect experience.

We dined in the garden restaurant which was just amazing. From the moment we walked in the atmosphere was relaxed, warm and inviting. The staff are so attentive and the service was impeccable. The food was absolutely delicious, every single bite was bursting with flavour. I cannot wait to go back.

Best hotel in Dublin, hands down! From the staff to the absolute cleanliness of the rooms, it is perfection. Book the tea for a wonderful experience. The pool is a little oasis after a day of meetings or sightseeing. Sitting by one of the many fireplaces instantly makes one feel relaxed and pampered. A perfect hotel!

I just returned from a long weekend stay at the Merrion in Dublin. It was my second time there, and it was just as heavenly as I remembered. The service is impeccable, the rooms practical yet luxurious, and while it is situated in the city center - it is a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed afternoon tea on the day we arrived and it was a five-star experience (both the service and savory and sweet bites), and the continental breakfast buffet offered in the Garden Room has pastries that are among the best I have ever had. I am already looking forward to my next stay! Also, I noted that a member of their bell staff has a developmental disability. This makes me all the more inclined to stay at and recommend the Merrion, knowing that they are providing meaningful employment opportunities to all.
