THE OUTSTANDING THING ABOUT MY 10 DAY STAY WAS NIKI THE ATTENDANT RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGING THE SWIMMING AREA BY THE SEA. HE WAS PROFESSIONAL HE WAS ALWAYS HELPFUL AND HE MADE THE TRIP WORTH WHILE. I WAS GIVEN ROOM 134 WHICH HAD A SOID PILLAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM. I MOVED TO 118 AND THIS WAS FINE. THE HOTEL IS DATED AND NEED A VERY SERIOUS UPGRADE.

OMG what a view! What a great location! Hats off to a great place!! The view at the breakfast table on the sea just incredible. Best I’ve ever seen. The spa is perfect for me because I love a sauna and a steam and they are very hot! Easy walk inside city walls. We were in Dubrovnik when the weather was perfect and the large crowds were gone. Lucky us!

I would honestly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a great location, very close to old town, extremely clean (always a priority for me) and exceptional staff, i found Paula and Marco particularly helpful and pleasant, views weren’t bad either. 😉All staff no matter which department couldn’t do enough to accommodate our every need, they were all very pleasant and helpful and it wasn’t forced. We felt the staff were extremely attentive and knew when to step back and leave us to it, for instance during our lovely and leisurely breakfast staff would discreetly remove our used plates when we weren’t at the table and also we didn't feel rushed. We had a really lovely stay at the Excelsior with it’s calm ambiance and wonderful staff and I’ll certainly return. I was a little concerned about booking at first because i was worried about the walk to and from the old town due to a back issue I have but I needn’t have worried because it was more than doable. The only small suggestions I would have are the toiletries could have been a bit more luxurious and possibly have a shuttle to drop off at different locations.

This hotel rocks. We stayed here for 3 nights over our honeymoon, and it was our favorite hotel from the whole trip. From the jump, you walk in, and know that they knew what were doing whilst designing the property. A gorgeous view of the old city of Dubrovnik is your first impression. The room was a little tight, but thoughtfully built as well, and everything was very clean. Shower pressure was top notch. Included breakfast had a very large spread, and we ended up eating there every day, which is atypical for us. The beach area was, of course, our favorite. Such a cool spot to read looking out onto the old city, and jump in the Adriatic. The hotel is a very quick 6 minute walk down to the city, which was incredibly convenient. Ivana and Mia were so helpful our entire stay. They booked us transportation, tours, and an excursion to Montenegro. True hospitality professionals. Stay here!

Best is the location, walking distance to the old town and the beach. The staff are very wecloming, warm and helpful, particularly Marko at the reception, who ensures your needs are addressed on time. They also arrange airport transfers. This is one of the best breakfast we have had in recent years. Breakfast is a wide spread, types of yougurt, fruits, desserts, eggs, cheese and can also order from the menu. Service is very prompt and professional. Great Sea views from the hotel, facing the Lokrum island and also views of Dubrovinik wall from the breakfast area. Natural pool, direct access to sea for a swim. Did not use the indoor swimming pool. Most of the rooms have sea view and wall view from the balcony. Happy to return.
