Clean and comfortable rooms. The staff was very helpful with any questions. Lots of cool amenities and art to check out! Several food options right across the street as well as a bar inside the hotel. 10/10 would stay here again. Came here for a business event and the catering and meeting rooms were well managed and delicious.

Great hotel, amazing staff! Everyone was incredibly helpful and courteous. Room was great and loved everything about it. Made for a seamless business trip for our corporate event. Would absolutely recommend to everyone looking to see the Durham area or any company looking for a place to host their team from out of town.

We had an absolutely amazing weekend at the 21c Museum Hotel in Durham! From the moment we arrived, Nick and Amy at check-in made us feel incredibly welcome. They were both so personable and informative, giving us a great overview of the hotel’s amenities, the stunning art exhibits, and even insider tips on the best spots to explore in the local area. The combination of a boutique hotel and contemporary art museum is truly unique, and every corner of the property is filled with fascinating pieces to admire. It’s an experience that goes far beyond just a place to stay. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and well-appointed, with thoughtful touches throughout. The location was perfect—walking distance to so many fantastic restaurants, shops, and cultural landmarks. Thank you, Nick and Amy, for going above and beyond to make our weekend so special. We can’t wait to come back and explore more of what this gem has to offer! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Durham. 5/5 stars!

Well-situated in the heart of downtown Durham, maybe a 6-8 minute walk from the train and bus stations. Many restaurant options are within an easy walking distance. 9th Street Bakery was a good option for coffee and morning pastry and Oak House coffee shop for a latte; didn’t try the restaurant downstairs. Bathroom and bedroom were clean and modern. Street noise might be an issue for some. All in all, I was happy.

What a find! The hotel hosts an extensive art exhibition, staff members are proud and excited to share a place they love, and the rooms are tastefully designed. We appreciated their sensitivity to the environment and their mission of making art accessible to all. We plan to make our way to their other properties too!
