Nice hotel in good location for airport. Pleasant room. My stay was spoiled by dishonest staff. I realised when I got home that I’d left an expensive bottle of aftershave in the room (£120). I called and was told it was not there. It 100% was. Nothing much you can do in this situation but very disappointing. I won’t stay again.

Absolutely great experience at Norton House for our overnight corporate Spa event. The hotel couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing was a bother for them. Check in was swift, the afternoon tea was amazing, the meal at night was incredible kudos to the chef! The breakfast was lovely as well. The service was outstanding. The Spa was lovely. All the girls that work there are friendly and professional. The products are lovely. Would highly recommend.

We had our wedding celebrations at Norton - an absolutely incredible experience! The Norton staff took amazing care of us and our guests, making us feel at home. A beautiful property with attentive staff - highly recommend! We also have to put in a very positive word for Ambience and Liggy's Cakes who are on Norton's recommended vendor list, they all did such beautiful work!!

My wife and I stayed here one Sunday in November on a bed and breakfast basis. It was both a birthday treat and a mini getaway from the young kids. We chose this hotel just outside Edinburgh near the airport for its peaceful location (if you don't count the odd plane flying overhead) and spa facilities. The hotel has an original stone building with a stunning staircase at reception. It blends the modern wing and spa into the countryside setting and this brings a great combination of charm and everything you'd expect from a modern hotel. We emailed ahead to let the hotel know we planned to arrive before check-in (15:00) and use their spa facilities which they replied to say we could. On arrival just before 13:00 our room was actually available which was brilliant. Reception staff are warm and friendly giving us details about the hotel, location of our room with shortcut tip for the spa (side door which you have to buzz in order to get back into the hotel). On entering the room, the hotel arranged for balloons, a card and chocolates for our birthday celebrations - a lovely touch and the kids enjoyed the balloons when we returned home with them! Our room (712) was in the modern wing. We were on the Cosy Autumn Retreat deal which included an upgrade to an Executive room which was spacious and comfortable. The seating area and balcony with view of the spa was nice, bed and pillows comfy, and bathroom was large with a TV to watch whilst you're in there! Modern furnishings and neutral colours in the room. There was tea and coffee facilities, milk in the mini fridge plus a bottle of water. There is a safe in the room as well as iron and iron board if needed. The room was warm and there's aircon. Underfloor heating and heated towel rail in the bathroom. They use Noble Isle toiletries - my favourite! After checking in, we headed to the spa and enjoyed the pool, hydro pool (jacuzzi), sauna and steam room. There are loungers dotted around the pool which we made use of to read and chill. We didn't have any treatments on this occasion. Towels are provided. There is no corridor connecting the spa to the main hotel building so you do need to go outside but remember the handy side door for the closest entrance to the main building. We made dinner plans in Edinburgh (see separate review) so just had breakfast on Monday morning before checking out. They had the usual selection of continental and cooked options. As it's low season, the cooked options were to order rather than self service. For me, cooked to order means a fresher and tastier experience. Breakfast staff all very pleasant and efficient. On departure day, we went back to the spa after checkout (11:00) which was great to enjoy a few more child free hours before returning home. Overall, a really enjoyable and comfortable stay. Lovely hotel and good value for money.

It is difficult to find fault with this splendid hotel. The room was tastefully decorated, very comfortable and the most dog friendly room ever with a dog bed, food and water bowls and treats for your fur-baby. The bathroom was spacious with a good force shower, ours had a telly you could watch from the bath which we didn’t utilise but definitely added to the wow factor. If I had to be picky, I could say the shower could have been larger and the water bottles could have been replaced without us needing to ask but honestly, this was some of the best service I have received at a hotel in the U.K. Breakfast was delightful. A good selection of fruits, breads, juices and hot buffet selection plus a menu for special items. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. We had dinner here as well and the food and service was fantastic. We also visited the spa. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the massages were perfect. We stayed here 2 nights on the way back from the Highlands and it was so relaxing. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.
