Pleasent stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We had a pleasent stay. Our room was across the street at Roseate House und it was nice and comfy. The room Service was obliging. Our Dinners at the Dunstane restaurant were wonderful. Greetings to the staff! We felt right at home and the service was exceptional. For breakfast there was a great selection of typical Scottish dishes, but also a variety of others (sweet and savoury). We were given a lots of tips on places to visit in Edinburgh and also other restaurants. Thanks to all the staff and we would love to come back at our next visit!

Supportive Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

I couldn’t recommend this warm and welcoming hotel highly enough. The decor and comfort in the spacious bedrooms met a very high standard. The breakfasts were excellent. During my trip I was unfortunate enough to break my arm and the hotel was supportive and helpful (especially Alexander and his two first aid colleagues) way beyond our expectations. We will certainly be staying again.

Friendly staff and great service in a remarkably beautiful building.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We had a fabulous stay at the Roseate. It was so handy for Murrayfield - the reason for our trip - but our pristine room was quiet and secluded, away from all that madness. The food we had for breakfast and dinner was outstanding - particularly the meal we had on Friday night, when we arrived. But best of all, was the friendliness, humour and welcome we felt from all the staff. The building itself deserves comment - dating from the 1860s, it is full of the opulence of bygone times. Would highly recommend and would happily return.

30th birthday trip away

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Booked this hotel for my partner and I for 4 nights as a treat for his 30th birthday, wanted somewhere nice for us to stay, close to the city centre but still with a luxurious feel and without the outside noise. We thought the hotel was absolutely beautiful inside and out, incredibly pleased with our room, very clean and well presented, loved the high ceilings, all very comfortable. I'd contacted the hotel prior to our arrival and asked if they could do anything in the way of banners or balloons for my partners birthday, on arrival we found the room with balloons, a happy birthday banner, a little plate of strawberries and macarons and a hand written birthday card from the staff. Staff were super friendly, helpful and welcoming, would absolutely stay here again and plan to in the future 😊

A very good surpise

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

A very unique experience to enjoy the "british" atmosphere. Service, room, restaurant were of great quality. Hotel staff was really at your service to make your stay the perfect one. A short stay not long enough to explore all sides of this hotel. A place to revisit without hesitation
