I was quite nervous about travelling to this hotel as a solo female traveller. Absolutely nothing to be nervous about, they looked after me from start to finish. Hotel - absolutely stunning, fantastic views, everything in the room that you need, the only slight negative is that the entry level rooms are tired and do need to be refurbished, however the room was still adequate. I had my own pool which was just amazing, the bed was really comfortable, the bathroom fabulous, the room was cleaned daily and in the evenings they knocked to find out if you needed anything. I took photos of the view from my pool out over the sea, uploading it here would not be the same as seeing it for yourself. I never tired of the view. Food - breakfast was included in the holiday and the dining room was just fabulous. With the view over the sea to add to the experience. The breakfasts are spot on. The usual egg station, fresh fruit, yogurts, continental, turkey bacon, beans, etc etc coffee/tea, and the staff were really attentive. I ate at Sumosan, a Japanese restaurant on site, fabulous service and wonderful food, highly recommend the lobster salad. Il Borro, again great service and food. Staff - so attentive throughout the hotel, from check in to check out. Really helpful and knowledgeable. Spa - THE highlight of the experience. I booked the following as part of my healthy holiday - Signature Massage, Yoga, Breathing techniques, Reflexology, Shiatsu and Thai massage. The spa is absolutely beautiful, I have visited many spas in the world and this is by far one of the best. From the wonderful reception staff through to the therapists, the fixtures fittings and products used, it was truly amazing. Maria (Signature Massage) Girit (Yoga and breathing techniques) Athina (Refloxology) Vasilis (Shiatsu) Dionisia (Thai) Maria (Reception) were just superb. Each of the treatments was designed especially for my requirements, I intended to hide at the back of the yoga class, but it was just me and Girit made the session just about me and my needs. I was nervous of having a treatment by a man, but Vasilis was so lovely. Sincere thanks to the team for making this experience so wonderful. Transfer to and from the hotel was fabulous, no waiting, water available and a little guided tour on the way. The site is built on a hill and I think that if someone had mobility issues it might be a struggle, but there are lifts and golf carts available but I would check with the resort that the room allocation is adequate. All in all, a fabulous experience with many memories made.

Porto Elounda is absolutely beautiful. Staff work hard, especially those who take care of breakfast and lunch. The girls at reception were very friendly and helpful. Our room was honestly amazing, with a private pool. The beach is also beautiful, clear water and water sports too. The pool area was very busy, especially full of children. There were plenty of restaurants, also in common with Mare and Peninsula , and they were all great. It was truly enchanting.

The view is stunning, personnel are very friendly and helpful; and the yoga, pilates and sound healing lessons of Grit Hammer (instructor at the Six Senses Spa) are really something special. I loved starting every day with her lessons, overlooking the ocean, loved it. Breakfast is also nice and the area of the private beach is charming. So, why don’t I rate it as 5? The room was a bit disappointing, quite small, the air conditioning didn’t work well and was very noisy, small in size for the price that you pay and food options at the hotel are limited, expensive and not great (other than breakfast). My children did enjoy the private pool at our room.

We recently spent three unforgettable nights at Porto Elounda in August, and from the moment we arrived, we were treated like VIPs. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect in every way. They handled our reservations with ease, offered fantastic suggestions for activities and dining, and seemed to know exactly what we needed to make the most of our time—often even better than we did! The views from the resort are absolutely breathtaking, and we found ourselves constantly in awe of the stunning scenery around us. Every meal at the on-site restaurants was an exquisite experience, with each dish showcasing the best of what Crete has to offer. If you’re looking for a place to stay that combines luxury, impeccable service, and unforgettable views, look no further than Porto Elounda. This resort truly offers an extraordinary experience, and we can’t wait to return!

The concierge and reception is useless and clueless. I ask them to help me with something, and they delegate my problems to another service, who does the exact same. TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION. Waste of time and money. DO NOT recommend. Awful experience. I will NEVER be coming back again.
