About the Hotel

Located off the west coast of Scotland is a private 300-acre retreat called Isle of Eriska Hotel, Spa & Golf. Built as a home in 1884 in the Scottish Barional style, this singular hotel on the island houses just 50 guests and is steeped in history. While the building has had a succession of owners and enhancements over the course of its lifetime, it has changed very little with age. The rooms are capsules of luxury adorned with tasteful appointments and regal bursts of color. In the main house, a former billiard room and courtyard have transitioned into a pair of spacious bedrooms, while the addition of a conservatory has enhanced the overall ambiance. A nearby annex is surrounded by lush foliage and features spa suites as well as two-bedroom cottage suites offering some serious seclusion with private gardens and bubbling hot tubs.

Lovely

Fabulous service from everyone in the hotel . Great room, great food. Fabulous surroundings and lovely to walk around. Wellies needed! Lots of lovely wildlife to spot. Brilliant speakers in room to stream your music . Lovely big bathrooms. Great beds with lovely duvets and pillows Spa was just ok, only 6 seats/recliners at poolside which were all taken, so we had to sit on pool edge when not in the sauna/steam. Could boil potatoes in the jacuzzi , was very hot , no water in the dispenser and we were only told about the relaxation room on way out. this would have been a perfect place to sit as the poolside ones were occupied. Ladies, hairdryers in changing rooms are awful. The old fashioned pipe with a nozzle that blows very little air. Thankfully the ones back in the hotel rooms are great. 😄 All in all, a lovely hotel & island

Overall a wonderful stay

Just back from this lovely hotel. A great stay in a great setting. Room exceptionally spacious. Grounds of the island very scenic, good walks around it all. Staff couldn't do enough for us, so helpful and friendly. Food excellent, though menu hadn't a wide choice, but appreciate off season at present. Didn't use spa facilities or pool, but had a look round and it looks very impressive. Seeing red squirrel outside hotel when leaving left an added good memory. Overall a wonderful stay.

A beautiful and traditional hotel with the friendliest staff. An absolute gem.

We stayed with friends at the hotel in early November. The hotels itself is absolutely beautiful - set in amazing groups on the Island. The hotel feels like stepping back in time to days gone by with its grand interior and touches such as a harp player playing by the large fireplace. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was some of the best I’ve ever had. The waiting on staff were so lovely - hopeful and attentive but not at all overbearing. I would love to stay again - this feels like somewhere very, very special.

A wonderful stay

We stayed at the Isle of Eriska for my birthday and it was wonderful! The junior suite was beautiful, huge and very well maintained. The only thing that would improve would be a mini fridge for water etc. Dinner on in the restaurant was nice, but service a little slow at times - especially when another guest had complained and they became the main focus while we (and everyone else) had to wait quite a while. Breakfast was fantastic, and a special shout out to the assistant GM who was incredibly helpful and even arranged for late check out for us so we could enjoy the hotel further. We’re definitely planning on returning, hopefully in the summer months to enjoy the full island and making the most of it during the lighter evenings. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
