Strategically located just 25 minutes from Fès Airport, the Riad Fès exudes an air of refined serenity amid the bustle of the city. A perfect example of Hispanic-Moorish architecture, the stylish hotel is arranged around four distinct patios. Ornate courtyards ranging from sober baroque to dazzling mosaic patterns and an impressive Fassi lamp flanked by artfully carved stucco arches fuse Andalusian whimsy with age-old Moroccan design. Begin your day on the rooftop terrace with a panoramic view of the Medina with its minarets against blue skies and the gentle green curves of the Atlas Mountains beyond. All 30 rooms are individually decked out in sumptuous textiles and warm-hued wooden furnishings. Filigreed bedside lamps next to traditionally carved or tufted precious cloth headboards reflect meticulous attention to detail, enhanced by must-have modern amenities such as air conditioning, flat-screen satellite televisions, and elegant Tadelakt or Italian Carrara marble bathrooms with plush bathrobes and slippers. The Riad Fés beckons you to relax in lavish oriental style at its Spa by Cinq Mondes. Unwind by the outdoor pool, in the cleansing steam of the Hammam or take that much-needed time-out and book a pampering massage.

It's a beautiful Road. Great service. It also had a great location of bat from where you can see the whole city. Only if you can't climb up plz be sure to tell them, so that they can give u rooms on ground level. Also be prepared for a little noise from ally's as it's. Not totally sound proof. But a great experience.

The noisy rooms and uneven service outweigh the central location and physical property. For $350 a night you can do better. The room we were given, the Masria Room, was noisy, tiny, and dark. Located in an annex building off to the side of the property, it overlooks the dining room. Only one window, directly above the musician who plays every night from 6-10, and the window is not soundproofed. The room is on the second floor, the pillows are 5 meters from the door and you hear every step echoing in the marble staircase all day and night. It wasn't just a family upstairs, even staff were stomping up and down the stairs at 11pm with no consideration that people were trying to sleep. I complained to management multiple times until they moved us to another room. Here's the weird thing - the second room was quieter - and the service was better. Housekeeping did evening turndowns, new towels were provided each day, toiletries were tidied up. Its like guests are sorted into different classes, and for $350 a night we were put in a room that really should be used for storage, and given minimal service. Hospitality is more than pouring a mint tea when people arrive. Marriott hotels treat every guest evenly, and the managers tune in to hear the actual issue. I expected this level of service from Relais & Chateaux but did not. The manager will likely respond to this saying sorry was a family next door and its nice we liked the second room. But we shouldn't have had to complain, to pack our stuff, and to still be thinking of this instead of better memories at the hotel. The location is convenient and the property overall is nice, but I remain disappointed by the service and they do not make genuine attempts to make things right.

Stunning place to stay. Gorgeous riad from 14th century. Very comfortable. Well located not far from a gate in pedestrianised medina. Staff friendly & helpful. Beautiful pool & spa. Very comfortable room & fabulous roof terrace. Lovely place to eat breakfast

This is a fantastic property with 31 rooms. Overall: Beautifully renovated property - 5 Riads combined into one property. Each one lovingly restored with exquisite detail. Check-in: professional smooth process; welcome tea and pastries while we waited. Room: We stayed in the ‘Calife’ room on the top floor - steps only access, which was fine for us but may be challenging for others. Beautiful large private terrace with day bed and views over the Fes medina. The room itself with a comfortable large bed and all amenities. Large bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. There is another room at this level - Vizir - with its own smaller private terrace. The rooftop bar is close by and if full, may get noisy and trouble light sleepers - we heard no noise during our stay despite noticing people there. Gayza restaurant: It is in the same area as the breakfast spot. The service is attentive and the food was great. Perhaps a touch on the expensive side for Morocco (700 MAD for 2 with drinks), but the ambience and service is amazing.

We have traveled to all 7 continents and stayed in all kinds of wonderful hotels, inns and chateaux. But nothing can compare to the magnificence and beauty of the Riad Fes. You will feel like you have been transported to a different time - but perfectly preserved and exquisitely maintained. The hotel's food was delicious, the staff were amazing, and the care and love that everyone showers on the building (and on the guests!) is evident everywhere! Fresh flower arrangements so remarkable you need to take pictures, perfect gardens to walk in, gorgeous rooftop bar to watch the sunset over the Medina and listen to the call to prayer. The leadership of the hotel must be topnotch for the staff to be so alert to the needs of guests and the hotel. I want to urge you to listen to the brilliant advice of the staff. Zahara told us, pretty clearly, that we needed a guide for our first visit to the Medina. And we humored her and agreed to one. She was SO right! We would have been instantly lost in the maze (the labyrinth!) of the Medina and it would have been stressful for us. Instead our guide, arranged by Zahara, showed us all the things we wanted to see and was a great source for the history of Fes. Zahara also arranged for us to take a cooking class at Riad Fes with Chef Amal. Just us, in the kitchen, from 3:30 to 5:30. And the entire cooking staff, good naturedly, served us what we had made that afternoon for our evening dinner. This might be our favorite hotel in the world. Our thanks to Riad Fes for such an amazing experience.
