Bed is as hard as a rock

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We are currently staying at The Brunelleschi Hotel. The positives are the location and selection of food available for breakfast. However, the major negative is the bed is as hard as a rock. I’m struggling to sleep at night which has ruined our three night stay. We asked if we can change rooms and they informed us all the mattresses are the same. They provided an extra duvet but this hasn’t really helped. There were no mattress protectors available. It’s a shame because the main reason for booking a hotel room is to sleep and it’s the sleep that lets this hotel down. For this reason, unfortunately I wouldn’t stay here again.

Excellent and Friendly

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I recently stayed here with my wife and found that all the staff, from the front desk to those servicing the rooms to be the most friendly and helpful staff I have come across. A special mention has to go to the Doorman who was always there to help and assist, from providing an umbrella to a towel to dry our coats after getting caught in a downpour. The Rooms were always clean and well prepared with great little touches of turndown service and chocolates, even earplugs to quell the morning bell chiming of the nearby Duomo, (nice touch) the Bells weren't that loud though. The Breakfast was also extremely good with great service and choice. The Location was excellent, right in the heart of Florence, near the Duomo. It was the attention to detail that has earned the 5 star rating from me. Well done to all those at the Brunelleschi, we had a great stay, thank you.

Wonderful stay in Hotel Bruneschelli

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

The hotel was great in all aspects. The staff was very helpful for restaurants, directions and suggestions to meet our needs. The 2 star Michelin restaurant was a true gastronomic. The rooms were clean, well lite with USA plugs. The breakfast buffet what many healthy choices. Great location in the center of the city. A historical location too. We stayed 9 days and enjoyed each day.

Another fantastic stay at the Brunelleschi Hotel

Paulus/Juliana, We want to thank the personal service you had both provided along with the front desk staff. The recommendation to Il Paiolo was excellent. The Torciano wine yards and helicopter ride over the vineyards of San Gimignano were SPECATULAR. The staff made our trip a great memory. Reaching out to the hotel in getting dinner reservation to Villa La Massa, or even Trattoria Ponte Vecchio made everything much easier, greatly appreciated! Now I know why I/we returned to the Hotel Brunelleschi for a second time it's one special place to stay when visiting Florence. We also want to thank Sabrina Bisconti, who we reached out to initially when making our hotel reservation, another special thanks to her and her staff. Well done! Again, Millie Garci! J/P Perrone
