The room was great, spacious, and clean. Bathroom was huge! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included with our stay and it was delicious. The location of the hotel was also perfect. We were super close and able to walk to all the main attractions and food places. Steps away from the Arno River also made for beautiful scenery at sunset and morning runs around sunrise. Would come back again.

A beautiful hotel facing the Ponte Vecchio, close to the centre of Florence. Lovely room with great facilities, an abundance of fresh and tasty food, and most importantly, friendly staff. Would return and would definitely recommend to everyone. Grazie mille

Such a nice hotel! Very friendly and helpful people. Our room, which was a junior suite was quiet, comfortable and overlooked the river Arno. We were two friends sharing so I asked in advance for twin beds, which they do provided. They were large and extremely comfortable. The room had nice lighting and was kind of understated elegant in style. Decent shower and a good size bathroom, the sink was in a adjacent lobby area which is great if there’s two of you. There was an appropriate magnifying mirror on the wall above the sink, though if you’re a woman who wears make-up, I would still recommend bringing a mirror yourself so that you can make up in natural light. There is a sufficiently powerful hairdryer, actual wooden detachable coat hangers. They have both robes and disposable slippers. I would say the amenities kit is a little on the scarce side so you might want to bring more Cotton wall pads and Q-tips et cetera. Housekeeping was a little bit mean-spirited in that they didn’t give us replacement amenity kits, we had to ask for them, and for extra towels as they only provided one large bath sheet, 1 face cloth & 1 hand towel per day No towel for wet hair! Breakfast was extremely enjoyable with very good coffee & a decent selection of food although not much way in the way of fresh fruit. The staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly, helped us book restaurants, etc. it was my birthday while I was there and they left a little paper Duomo filled with biscotti in the room, and a bottle of fizz- so thoughtful! On leaving they were very good about my friendly feedback on certain elements which I always think is a sign of a good business. Goes without saying the location is absolutely superb. You can walk pretty much anywhere from this hotel within 15 or 20 minutes. The rooftop terrace – which closes at the end of October I think – was absolutely lovely and well worth popping into even if you don’t have a drink. I’m pretty picky customer and I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here. It’s not superduper fancy – but it is very special and relaxed which is my preferred hotel mode!

We went to Florence in October 2024 for a wedding in Tuscany - great fun and SO beautiful. Staying at the Continentale was the icing on the cake. The service from the front desk was OUTSTANDING! They were so friendly, helpful, kind and I rate their customer service a 12 out of 10! Keep in mind my partner and I TEACH Customer Service so that 12 out of 10 is truly amazing. If you want to be "downtown" and get SO much help with directions, taxi's, info on the area and just a 100% pleasant time then stay HERE! Alison, Cristina, Leonardo, Luca, Luka, Mina, Roberto, Stefano were ALL amazing. Thank you, team, for a delightful stay. We hope to be back. p.s. a big SHOUT OUT to the staff that helped in the breakfast restaurant. Again, so helpful and nice to deal with. Linda & Bob

Loved this hotel. The staff were friendly and so helpful. We truly felt welcome and cared for. The bed was comfortable and the room we had was larger than expected with a view of the Ponte Vecchio. There is a nice rooftop bar perfect for photos. We will be back!
