As one does walking in a new city after dark, I got turned around. With 2% phone battery, I walked into Plaza Hotel Lucchesi cold and a little worried. My concern disappeared with the sincere kindness I was extended by the lounge staff. Grazie mille!

Celebrated our 25th anniversary of first stay earlier this month with our thirteenth visit. Still the finest of Florence in accommodations and friendly, caring staff. New chef in restaurant has upped the dinner offerings of local cuisine as well. Location is convenient to the best of shopping, museums, and restaurants…yet away from noisy crowds.

Beautiful hotel and fabulous location overlooking the Arno River. Very elaborate breakfast included with the rates served until 10:30am. Very helpful staff. The hotel is looking a little outdated and old. Could really use an update. It was very warm in our room due to the unusually hotter weather in Nov.. the air conditioning was turned off for the year. The windows had a warning regarding mosquitoes when opened. Couldn’t help it and had to open a window to sleep and woke up to several mosquito bites. Yes, they warned me, but it was way too hot in the rooms

Staying on the river was terrific! We really enjoyed wine on the rooftop, and for dinner it was necessary to make reservations in the dining room. The staff was friendly and polite. When they realized we were leaning Italian they made an extra effort to converse with us.

Fabulous. We went there some 20+ years ago. This time we went with your granddaughter. The family duplex was perfect was were the breakfasts and the general sophisticated but relaxed ambience of the hotel. The rooftop bar served delightful drinks and gave beautiful views over Florence. The hotel staff, some of whom Had been there for decades, were superb, probably helped by my Italian; they do appreciate the effort. It was truly memorable. We shall return some time.
